The Honourable Susan Frances Harmar Nicholls (born 23 November, 1943 in Walsall, Staffordshire) is an English actress, most known today for her long-running role as Audrey Roberts on "Coronation Street". Educated at the School of S. Mary and S. Anne (now known as Abbots Bromley School for Girls), and a graduate of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, she first became known as Marilyn Gates on the soap "Crossroads", a role she played from 1964 to 1968.
