Suvad Katana was a Bosnian football player. Sometimes his name is misspelled Suad. This intelligent defender started playing football in FK Željezničar as a youngster. He made his league debut for the club in 1987. against Red Star Belgrade (0-0). Although still a teenager, he was a regular starter in the squad in following seasons.
