Tasha Tudor, born Starling Burgess in Boston, Massachusetts, on August 28, 1915, is an American illustrator and author of children's books. She was named for her father, the naval architect Starling Burgess known as the Skipper. Although she was married as Starling Burgess io Thomas McCready in Redding, Connecticut, she has always published as Tasha Tudor.
