Thales Finchum , originally from east Tennessee, has lived in Nashville for 43 years. He has been a police officer for 33 years (retiring July 17, 2006) and a retired military officer. Thales served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam and with the Tennessee National Guard. He holds an associate degree in Fine Arts from Watkins Institute.
