Thomas Child, Jr. (March 22, 1818 - March 9, 1869) was a U.S. Representative from New York. Born in Bakersfield, near St. Albans, Vermont, Child attended the common schools and entered the University of Vermont at Burlington at the age of fourteen. He served as member of the State constitutional convention in 1838. He studied law. He was admitted to the bar in September 1839 and commenced practice in East Berkshire, Vermont.
