Thomas Schaaf (born April 30, 1961 in Mannheim, Germany) is a German former footballer (defender), now a manager. Schaaf is a one club man: He has been at his current club, Werder Bremen, since July 1, 1972 and was a youth team player until 1978. After turning professional he played a total of 262 Bundesliga games before retiring in 1994.
