Tim O’Reilly, independent board member Tim O'Reilly , the founder and CEO of O'Reilly Media, Inc., is an internationally recognized activist for open source and open standards. In 2004, his company coined the phrase “Web 2.0” to describe a new wave of Internet computing that was taking greater advantage of open source software and user interactivity.
