Uri Lupolianski (born 1951) is the current mayor of Jerusalem. He is a member of the United Torah Judaism party and is the first Haredi Jewish person to be elected to the position of mayor. Lupolianski was elected a Jerusalem City Council member in 1989. He has held the positions of lead Deputy Mayor, Chairperson of the Planning and Building committee and was responsible for the Family Services and Community Portfolio. Wikipedia
