Wilfred Gibson is a violinist who played in the band Electric Light Orchestra and has performed as a session musician. He replaced original violinist Steve Woolam in 1972 and performed on their first live appearance, He later made contributions to the ELO II album and performed on the hit singles Showdown and Ma-Ma-Ma Belle playing alongside cellists Colin Walker and Mike Edwards. He was replaced in 1973 by Mik Kaminski allegedly due to a payment dispute.
