William Eugene Beckett Jr. (born February 11, 1985 in Libertyville, Illinois) is the lead singer of the band The Academy Is..., who are currently signed to Atlantic Records/Fueled by Ramen. William Beckett is currently co-writing a book named Rainy Day Kids with Pete Wentz, current bassist of the Chicago-based band, Fall Out Boy.
