About William Stevens Perry

William Stevens Perry (1832-98) was an American Protestant Episcopal bishop and educator. He was born at Providence R. I., studied at Brown University, but took his degree from Harvard in 1854. He studied theology at Virginia Seminary and was ordained priest (1858) at St. Paul's, Boston, where he spent the first year of his ministry. His succeeding charges were in Nashua, New Hampshire, Portland, Maine, Litchfield, Connecticut, and Geneva, New York.
