William Troy (b. 1848 & d. 8 March 1907) was a United States Navy sailor awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for actions during the Korean Expedition. He was part of the party that rescued the mortally wounded Hugh McKee and was himself wounded and specfically commended by the Lieutenant. Troy is buried in the Stockston State Hospital Cemetery in Stockton, California, and a monument in his honor stands at the San Joaquin National Cemetery in Gustine, California. Wikipedia
