Yigael Yadin (Hebrew: יגאל ידין, born Yigal Sukenik on March 20, 1917, died June 28, 1984) was an Israeli archeologist, politician, and the second Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). The Israeli actor Yossi Yadin was his brother. Yadin was born in 1917 to noted archeologist Eliezer Sukenik. He joined the Haganah at age fifteen and served there in a variety of different capacities. Wikipedia
