The eldest child of the Khadr family, Zaynab Khadr is the daughter of Maha and Ahmed Said Khadr. A divorced mother, Zaynab's marriage was attended by Osama bin Laden with whom the family had close contact. She explained in a Toronto Star interview that nobody was personally invited, including bin Laden, and that word of mouth simply informed all interested parties about the upcoming wedding and all were invited.
