Zeno of Citium was a Greek philosopher from Citium (Gr: Κίτιον), Cyprus. Zeno belongs to the Stoic school of thought of the Hellenistic period. He was the son of a merchant and a student of Crates of Thebes, the most famous Cynic living at that time in Greece.
