- Andrej Sekera
Andrej Sekera is a Slovak ice hockey defenceman. He was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the third round, 71st overall, in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. After playing one season in the Slovak Extraliga for HC Dukla Trenčín, Sekera came to North America. He played two seasons with the Owen Sound Attack of the Ontario Hockey League. In the 2005-06 season, he won the Max Kaminsky Trophy as the league's most outstanding defenceman.

They spent nearly three years in refugee camps in Lower and Upper Austria, and then left for Argentina, where they settled in Mendoza. Bajuk grew up, studied and started a family in Mendoza. Bajuk received his first degree in economics in Mendoza from the Universidad Nacional de Cuyo.

In 1992, following the breakout of ethnic strife in Bosnia that soon evolved into an all out war, Nikolaidis' family moved to the montenegrin town of Ulcinj, his father's hometown, where they owned a summer home.

Andrej Jerman, is a Slovenian skier. His best result in the Alpine skiing World Cup came at Garmisch-Partenkirchen in the 2006-07 season, when he won the downhill race. A day later he finished 2nd, again in the downhill. His best result until then was 4th place in Bormio, downhill as well, in the same season. He represented his country at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy, where he finished 19th in the combined and 28th in the downhill and the super-G.

Andrej Kmeť was a Slovak botanist, ethnographer, archaeologist, and geologist. He identified several new species of plants and created a herbarium with 72,000 specimens. He was one of first researchers who carried on modern archaeological excavations in Central Europe. In 1892, he founded the Slovak Learned Society, which later became nucleus of the Slovak Academy of Sciences. He was also known for his bitter criticism of alcoholism.

Andrej Kvašňák was a Slovak football player. Born in Košice, he played for Czechoslovakia, for which he played 47 matches and scored 13 goals. He was a participant in the 1962 FIFA World Cup, where Czechoslovakia finished second, and also in the 1970 FIFA World Cup. In his country he played mostly for AC Sparta Praha. At around 1969 he played a few seasons for Racing Mechelen, a Belgian team.
