1. John L. Hennessy

   John LeRoy Hennessy, the founder of MIPS Computer Systems Inc., is currently serving as the 10th President of Stanford University. He earned his Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Villanova University, and his Master's degree and Ph.D. in computer science from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Hennessy became a Stanford faculty member in 1977. In 1984, he used his sabbatical year to found MIPS Computer Systems Inc.

March 4 1900, Dubuque, Iowa) was the third Bishop of the Diocese of Dubuque, and became the first Archbishop of Dubuque, Iowa when the Diocese was elevated to an Archdiocese. John Hennessy was ordained as a priest for the Diocese of Saint Louis on November 1 1850. Fr. Hennessy was named the third Bishop of Dubuque on April 24 1866. He was ordained and installed as Bishop on September 30 1866.

   John L. Hennessy , an electrical engineer and computer scientist, is Stanford's tenth president. He earned master's and doctoral degrees in computer science from the State University of New York-Stony Brook in 1975 and 1977, respectively. An expert in the architecture of microprocessors, Hennessy came to Stanford in 1977 as an assistant professor and began a series of projects in computer architecture.

   In the 1994 Pulitzer Prize nominee, Kevin Carter took this photograph above of an African girl, nothing but a skeleton, was trying to crawl towards a U.N. Food Shelter, about one kilometer away. Behind her back, a few yards away was a vulture waiting for the girl to die to feast. The picture of the vulture stalking a starving girl is real and was taken in Sudan in 1993.

   I'm student at Buff State from the Brew City. I like hanging out with my friends, having a good time, and playing sports. I am studying aquatic biology and economics. Chances are I am training for hockey, studying, or partying. Next year the 2nd Annual Collge/Pro Hockey Showcase will be the first friday of August 2007 for my brother's memorial fund plan on it.
