Stuart Scott fired for 'violating company policies' Microsoft has fired its chief information officer (CIO), Stuart Scott, saying he was let go after an investigation for violation of company policies. Until a replacement for Scott is found, Shahla Aly, a general manager, and Alain Crozier, a corporate vice president, will take over his responsibilities, Microsoft said. Scott joined Microsoft in July 2005 after spending 17 years at General Electric, where he also served as CIO.
