    Jimmy Alapag is a Filipino-American professional basketball player for the Talk N' Text Phone Pals in the Philippine Basketball Association.   4. Kim Hyung-Chil

    Kim Hyung-chil (1 July 1959 - 7 December 2006 in Doha) was a South Korean horse rider. He was a silver medalist in the three day team event at the 2002 Asian Games in Busan, and was the oldest member of South Korea's equestrian team. Kim participated in the Seoul 1988 and Athens 2004 Summer Olympics and also featured in the World Championships in equestrianism. He died on December 7, 2006 when he fell from his horse during the 2006 Asian Games Equestrian competition.

  10. Soma Biswas

    Soma Biswas (born 16 May 1978 in Ranaghat) is an athlete who lives in Calcutta, India and who specialises in the heptathlon. She rose to fame when she won the silver medal in 2002 Asian Games in Busan, South Korea. She won another silver medal at the 2006 Asian Games in Doha. She managed to win the 110m hurdles, the 200m and the 800m during that heptathlon. Biswas worked with Kuntal Rai and several foreign coaches.

    Vincent (Binky) Favis is a Filipino basketball head coach of the Coca-Cola Tigers in the Philippine Basketball Association. Favis is a former coach of the Letran Knights in the NCAA leading them to the title in 1999. He also coached in PBL for several teams. He also was a former player of the UST Growling Tigers and was an assistant coach of the 1993 squad, which swept the University Athletics Association of the Philippines men's basketball tournament.

  16. Said Saif Asaad

    Said Saif Asaad, born Angel Popov on May 31, 1979 in Bulgaria, is a Qatari weightlifter who competed in the Men's 105 kg weight class at the 2000 Summer Olympics and won a bronze medal. One of eight Bulgarian weighlifters recruited by the Qatar Olympic Committee, Asaad became a Qatari citizen to represent the country in the 2000 Olympics, his old name, Angel Popov, being left behind in the process.

    Dai Tamesue is an Japanese athlete, competing mainly in 400 m hurdles but also 400 m. Tamesue won a bronze medal at the 2001 World Championships in Edmonton, setting a new personal best of 47.89 which still stands, and won another bronze medal at the 2002 Asian Games.     Siavash Akbarpour (born January 21, 1985 in Shiraz, Iran) is an Iranian football player who currently plays for Al-Dhafra in the UAE League and the Iran national football team. He usually plays in the striker position. He is a technically sound player who was first called up to the national team in the 2002 Asian Games, although because of his youth he was ineffective. He was also part of the Iranian squad in Athens 2004 Olympics unsuccessful qualification campaign.

  20. Nobuharu Asahara

    Nobuharu Asahara is a Japanese athlete who specializes in the 100 metres and long jump. He finished twelfth in long jump at the 1995 World Championships, and also participated in the 1997 edition. He won a silver medal at the 1990 Asian Junior Championships, and won the 1993 Asian Championships in a new championship record (which has later been broken) of 8.13 metres. In the 100 metres he participated at the World Championships in 1997, 2001, 2003 and 2005.

  21. Chen Haijian

    Chen Haijian (born April 5, 1980 in Zhuhai, Guangdong) is a Chinese athlete specializing in the 100 metres. His personal best time is 10.17 seconds, achieved in Shanghai in September 2003. Participating in the 2004 Summer Olympics, he achieved fifth place in his 100 metres heat, thus missing out on a placing in Round 2 of the event. His best international performances has been a gold medal at the 2003 Asian Championships and a bronze medal at the 2002 Asian Games.

    Tatyana Efimenko (born 2 January 1981 in Bishkek) is a Kyrgyz high jumper. She won the bronze medal at the 1998 World Junior Championships and finished fifth at the 2002 IAAF World Cup. She competed at the World Championships in 1999 and 2005 without reaching the finals there. At the Olympic Games she exited in the qualifying round in 2000 and 2004, failing to clear the opening height in the former.

    Gu Yuan (born 9 May 1982) is a Chinese hammer thrower. She won the 2002 IAAF World Cup in Madrid, finished fourth at the 2003 World Championships in Paris and tenth at the 2004 Olympics in Athens. At the Asian Games she won a gold medal in 2002 and a silver in 2006. At the Asian Championships she won gold medals in 1998, 2002 and 2003 and a silver in 2005. Her personal best throw is 72.36 metres, achieved in July 2004 in Padova.

  25. Chua Ling Fung Simon

    Chua Ling Fung Simon is a bodybuilder from Singapore who started off as an instructor in a gymnasium before taking up the sport full-time. In 1991, he came in third in his first participation in a national event at the under-21 National Championship (Lightweight) competition, before going international and representing Singapore at the Pro-Am Classic held in Hong Kong in 1995 where he came in ninth position.

  26. Yoshitaka Iwamizu

    Hamed Hamadan Al-Bishi (born March 3, 1982) is a Saudi Arabian athlete. He won a gold medal in 4 x 400 m relay at the 2002 Asian Games and became Asian champion over 200 metres in 2005.

    Huang Qiyuan (born 5 January 1980) is a Chinese triple jumper. She won the 2002 Asian Games, finished thirteenth at the 2003 World Championships in Paris, twelfth at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens and ninth at the 2005 World Championships in Helsinki.
