Dr. Michael E. Pelczar (2002-2012) Dr. Pelczar was appointed as a Trustee in July 2002. He obtained a B.A. degree from Loyola College, graduated from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and obtained postgraduate training in anatomic and clinical pathology at U.S. Public Health Service Hospital and St. Agnes Healthcare in Baltimore. Dr. Sexton moved to Newberry, South Carolina in 1983 to become the director of the Newberry County Memorial Hospital’s Laboratory. At that time he started doing forensic autopsies for approximately thirty of the forty-six county coroners. Dr. Hruban's research has focused on early pancreatic cancer and on familial forms of pancreatic cancer; he is an author of more than 275 related articles in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Bonfiglio has been a faculty member at the University of Rochester Medical Center since 1972, serving in the past as Director of Surgical Pathology and Cytopathology and as Chair of the Department from 1989 until 1997.
