1. Angelos Charisteas

    Angelos Charisteas (born February 9, 1980 in Strimoniko,Serres) is a Greek football striker who currently plays for 1. FC Nürnberg. He is a member of the Greece national football team and played in the 2004 European Football Championship, in which Greece was triumphant. There, he scored 3 goals: one in the group stage against Spain, one against France in the quarterfinals and the winning goal against Portugal in the final. He was also named in the Euro 2004 All-star Team.

  2. Kleanthis Vikelides

    Kleanthis Vikelidis was a star footballer for Aris Thessaloniki in the 1930s and 1940s. Vikelidis was born in 1916 and was the youngest of the three Vikelidis brothers that played for Aris FC (the other two were Kostas and Nikiforos). He was instrumental in Aris winning the Greek Championship in 1932 and 1946, given the nickname 'Macedonian Tank'. During his career, Vikelidis was capped 7 times by the Greek National Football Team, scoring 4 goals.

  3. Walter Wagner

    Walter Wagner (born July 26, 1949) was a German football striker during the 1970s and 1980s. Wagner played for Eintracht Frankfurt between 1969 and 1971. He came to Greece in the summer of 1974 and played for AEK Athens FC from 1975 until 1977, for Aris FC in 1978 and for Panathinaikos FC in 1979. Wagner's best years in Greece, however, were with AEK Athens FC where, from 1975 until 1977, he finished in the ranks of top ten goalscorers with 17, 11 and 12 goals respectively.

  4. Ronaldo Guiaro

    Ronaldo Guiaro is a Brazilian Central-Defender. He was sometimes also referred to as "Ronaldinho" before first Ronaldo Luis Nazário de Lima and later Ronaldo de Assis Moreira took up the name. He played for the Brazil national football team and won the bronze medal for his country at the 1996 Summer Olympic games football tournament. His last club was Santos Futebol Clube in Brazil, but he stayed without a club for the first half of 2007.

  5. Richard Knopper

    Richard Knopper (born August 29, 1977 in Rijswijk) is a Dutch footballer who currently plays for ADO Den Haag. Knopper began his footballing career with Feyenoord youth team, however, he signed his professional contract with arch-rivals Ajax, and made his Ajax debut in November of 1997, in the away match against Sparta Rotterdam. In 1999 he was voted by the Ajax supporters as most talented player, receiving the "Marco van Basten Trophy".

  6. Nikos Tsiantakis

    Nikos (Nikolaos) Tsiantakis (born 20 October 1963) is a retired Greek football midfielder. He most prominently played for Panionios NFC and Olympiacos. His appearance at the 1994 World Cup rounded off his national team career, which lasted from 1988 to 1994, giving him 47 caps and 2 international goals. Shortly after the World Cup he went from Olympiacos to Aris FC, playing for various Greek teams before retiring in 1999.

  7. Darcy Dolce Neto

    Darcy Dolce Neto, or simply Neto, is a Brazilian football right-back. He currently plays in Greece for Aris Thessaloniki. He was signed by Aris Thessaloniki for three years. His contract expires in June 2010

  8. Anderson Costa

    Anderson Costa (born 23 March 1984 in Rio de Janeiro) is a Brazilian football (soccer) forward playing for Aris FC in Greece.

  9. Alexandre Negri

    Alexandre Negri a Brazilian goalkeeper currently playing for Aris FC. He is considered a promising player. In 2007 he signed for the Cypriot team APOP Kinyras Peyias.

  10. Savvas Kofidis

    Savvas Kofidis (born 5 February, 1961 near Alma-Ata, Kazakhstan, USSR) is a Greek football coach and former midfielder player, currently coaching Skoda Xanthi. He started his career in Iraklis, debuting in 18 January, 1981 when Iraklis was participating in the Beta Ethniki. In Iraklis's team he played seven seasons before heading to Olympiacos. In 1992 he joined Aris FC, the city rivals of Iraklis, where he played until rejoining Iraklis in the 1996/97 season.

  11. Kostas Frantzeskos

    Kostas Frantzeskos (born January 4, 1969) is a Greek footballer, best known for his deadly free-kick accuracy. He was regarded as one of the best free-kick specialists in Europe, and was dubbed "Mr.Free-kick" by fans in Greece.

  12. Talal el Karkouri

    Talal El Karkouri is a Moroccan professional footballer. He started his career in Raja Casablanca, and was discovered by French giants Paris Saint-Germain in 2000. He played in the UEFA Cup and UEFA Champions League, but failing to capture a regular place he was sent on loan to Aris in Greece and Sunderland in England. In the summer of 2004 he was bought by Charlton Athletic for £1m. El Karkouri has been capped 31 times and scored 1 goal for Morocco.

  13. Efthimios Kouloucheris

    Efthimios Kouloucheris is a dynamic defender playing for Aris Thessaloniki. He started his career at Proodeftiki FC and later at Olympiakos. He was transferred to Aris FC in January, 2006.

  14. Panagiotis Giannakis

    Panagiotis Giannakis (pronounced Yannakis,) (born 1 January 1959 in Athens), nicknamed "The Dragon", is an important figure in European basketball, with a brilliant career as both player and coach under his belt. Currently he coaches the Greek national team. Under Giannakis' guidance, the Greek National team won the European Championship of 2005 and the silver medal in the 2006 FIBA World Championship in Japan.

  15. Konstantinos Loumpoutis

    Konstantinos Loumpoutis is a Greek footballer who plays for FC Twente. He is a defender who plays as a fullback on the left side of the pitch. Loumpoutis’ career began when he signed a professional contract with Aris FC, making his first first-team appearance in 1995, at the age of 16. After 7 years with the team from his home town he joined Serie A participants Perugia Calcio before the start of the 2002-03 season.

    Alejandro Pérez Aracil is a Spanish football (soccer) midfielder for Aris FC in Greece. His brother Miguel is also a football player.

  17. Stefano Okaka Chuka

    Stefano Okaka Chuka (born 9 August 1989) is an Italian football player, currently playing for A.S. Roma in Serie A. He is a prodigy and considered great for the future. Okaka was born to Nigerian parents in Castiglione del Lago, Perugia. His family later obtained Italian citizenship. Okaka entered in A.S. Roma youth team, winning the national title in 2005, scoring goals against Juventus F.C. in the semi-final, and Atalanta B.C. in the final.

  18. David Eto'O

    David Pierre Eto'o Fils is a Cameroonian football player who currently plays for FC Metalurh Donetsk in the Ukraine, for whom he signed on 6 April 2007. He is the younger brother of Samuel Eto'o. The player is given a trial from Aris FC in July 2007. Another brother Etienne currently plays for Real Mallorca.

  19. Alexandros Alexiades

    Alexandros Alexiades (born in 1945) was a star forward for Aris FC during the period 1963- 1975. He was second, behind Dinos Kouis, on the all-time scorers list for Aris, having found the mark 127 times in his 301 appearances for the club. In 1976, Alexiadis played for Panaitolikos FC and the following year for Kastoria FC. Overall, Alexiades has an impressive 329 appearances in the Alpha Ethniki. He was capped twice by the Greek National Football Team, scoring 2 goals.

  20. Guilherme Weisheimer

    Guilherme Weisheimer is a Brazilian attacker currently playing for AC Omonia. Having played in Gremio, Veranopolis, Aris FC, he was considered a valuable addition to Aris squad.   21. Anastasios Kyriakos

    Anastasios Kyriakos is a capable midfielder playing for Aris Thessaloniki. He started his career at AEL and later at Olympiakos but quickly tranfered to Aris FC in August, 2006.

  22. Fanis Katergiannakis

    Theofanis Katergiannakis (Θεοφάνης Κατεργιαννάκης) is a football (soccer) player in goalkeeper role. He was played from 1994 by Aris and Olympiacos and in Serie A with Cagliari. He won Euro 2004 with Greece. Now he is a back-up goalkeeper at Iraklis FC. He is a keeper gifted with fine reflexes but circumstances always went against him.

  23. Martti Kuusela

    Martti Kuusela (born October 9, 1945) is the internationally most successful Finnish football coach. Kuusela enjoyed a moderately successful career as a player in Finland. As a coach he won the Finnish championship in 1981 and 1990 with HJK Helsinki. He was the head coach of the Finnish national team from 1982 to 1987, helping the team to the brink of qualifying for the 1986 World Cup. Kuusela has worked as coach in Belgium, Greece, Cyprus, Denmark and Hungary.

    Carlos Eduardo Ferrari is a Brazilian attacker currently playing for Aris FC. He is considered an expirienced player since he has played for many European clubs such as Rangers F.C., UD Salamanca, etc.

  26. Georgios Paraschos

    Georgios Paraschos is a Greek football manager. As a football player, he begun his career from the youth academy of P.A.O.K in 1967. He became a professional player in 1971 and played with the Kastoria team until 1985. He had four caps for the Greece national football team. He is the current manager of PAOK FC, one of the largest football clubs in Greece. As a coach he started in 1985, but as an amateur, in 1989 he coached in Kastoria (2nd Division) until 1992.

  27. Paulo Sérgio da Costa

    Martin Müürsepp is an Estonian professional basketball player. Müürsepp currently plays for Tartu Rock in SEB Korvpalli Meistriliiga. He plays the power forward position. In the 1996 NBA Draft he was selected in the 1st round (25th overall) by the Utah Jazz. After the draft, Müürsepp was traded to Miami Heat for a future draft pick. He has played 83 games in the NBA for Dallas Mavericks and the Heat, averaging 4.7 points, 2.2 rebounds in 11.5 minutes per game.

  29. Igor Gluščević

    Igor Gluščević is a Montenegrin footballer. He currently plays for Heracles Almelo. Gluščević started his career in the former Yugoslavia with Vojvodina Novi Sad. After scoring 7 goals in 2 seasons, he moved to CF Extremadura where he spent 2 seasons. He then transferred to Sevilla FC, at the time in the second division. But he left after one year to play for Greek side Aris Saloniki.

  30. Angelos Messaris

    Angelos Messaris (1910-1978) is a former Greek footballer. He is widely regarded as the best Greek player of the pre-war era. This is probably also due to the myth that followed for decades his sudden and mysterious early leaving from football. Angelos Messaris made his last appearance in the football field on the 23rd of April 1931 at the age of only 21. This was at the match with AEK in which Panathinaikos was losing with 2-0.

  31. Andrea Orlandi Stabilin

    Andrea Orlandi Stabilin (born 03-08-84) is a Spanish football Midfielder for Aris FC. He has participated in the Copa Catalunya for FC Barcelona, and assisted 2 goals by crossing the ball from the left wing. FC Barcelona eventually won the cup.He signed as a free transfer for Aris FC on a three-year contract, on 06/07/07.

  32. Pavel Panov

    Pavel Panov (born 16 September 1950) was a Bulgarian football player and coach. Played as a midfielder or striker. He started his career in Septemvri Sofia in 1963 and stayed there until 1968. In 1969 he moved to Spartak Sofia. After the forceful union of Levski Sofia with Spartak in the late 1969 he became one the best players in blue. In Levski he stayed twelve seasons, playing in 301 games and scoring 130 goals in the Championship.

  33. Tim Bograkos

    Tim Bograkos (born October 5, 1981 in Flint, Michigan), is an American professional basketball player. He played Basketball, football and baseball at Flint Central High School. A 6'2" guard from Michigan State University and a childhood survivor of leukemia, Bograkos played four years for the Spartans from 2001-2005. He began his professional basketball career playing in Greece for Aris FC, but has currently signed with Namika Lahti in Finland.
