    Wayne James Bennett AM (born 1 January, 1950) is an Australian rugby league football identity. A former Australian Kangaroos player, he is the current coach of the multiple premiership-winning Brisbane Broncos and a former coach of the Queensland and Australian representative sides. Bennett holds records for most Grand Final wins and longest time with a single club in Australian rugby league coaching history.

  2. Karmichael Hunt

    Karmichael Hunt (born November 17 1986 in Auckland, New Zealand) is a professional rugby league footballer for the Brisbane Broncos in the Australian National Rugby League competition. He mainly plays in the fullback position, and occasionally on the wing and at halfback. Hunt has played 82 first-grade games for the Broncos between 2004 and 2007, and was part of the Broncos' premiership winning team in 2006.

  3. Johnathan Thurston

    Johnathan Dean Thurston (born 25 April, 1983 in Brisbane, Queensland) is an Australian professional rugby league player who currently plays for the North Queensland Cowboys in the National Rugby League competition as well as Queensland and Australia. He is now considered the best player in the world overtaking the likes of Darren Lockyer and Andrew Johns, due to his freakish game breaking ability and week in week out consistancy.

    Brent Tate (born March 3, 1982 in Roma, Queensland) is an Australian professional rugby league player. His position of choice is at centre but can also play on the wing. He has represented Queensland in State of Origin and Australia for international matches.

  6. Danny Buderus

    Danny Buderus (born 6 February, 1978 in Taree, New South Wales) is an Australian professional rugby league player for the Newcastle Knights in the National Rugby League premiership. He is the incumbent New South Wales captain, and hooker and a former captain for the Australian national team. The Knights have only won once in the last ten years without both him and Andrew Johns.

    Mark O'Meley (born May 22, 1981 in West Wyalong, New South Wales) is an Australian rugby league player for the Canterbury Bulldogs club in the National Rugby League competition. Nicknamed 'Shrek', O'Meley's position of choice is at prop-forward. He has also represented New South Wales in the State of Origin and Australia. He also previously played for the North Sydney Bears and the Northern Eagles. He has signed to play with the Sydney Roosters for the 2008 season.

    Trent Barrett (born November 18, 1977 in Temora, New South Wales) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer. He plays for the Wigan in the European Super League competition and has represented New South Wales and Australia. He previously played for the Illawarra Steelers before they merged with St. George Dragons (Now St George Illawarra). His normal position is five-eighth though he has also been known to play at various other positions.

    Gorden James Tallis (born 27 July, 1973 in Townsville, Queensland) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played from 1992 to 2004. He captained Australia, Queensland and the Brisbane Broncos and is a Clive Churchill Medallist. Nicknamed the "Raging Bull" for his fearless running game, at the peak of his career Tallis was renowned as the best second-row forward in the world.

  32. Duncan Thompson

    Duncan Fulton Thompson MBE (born 14 March 1895 in Warwick, Queensland, died 17 May 1980 in Auchenflower, Queensland) was an Australian rugby league footballer, coach and administrator. A banker and skillful rugby league halfback, Thompson moved to Sydney where he played for Norths before enlisting in the First Australian Imperial Force and serving in World War I in Belgium. In 1918 he was shot through the chest, but survived, being told he would not play sport again.
