Alvin Ailey, Jr. (January 5, 1931 - December 1, 1989) was an African American modern dancer and choreographer who founded the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. He died of AIDS, at the age of 58. Willam F. Christensen (1902-October 14, 2001) was an American ballet dancer, choreographer and founder of the San Francisco Ballet and the Salt Lake City, Utah based dance academy Ballet West. He is known for bringing the Russian ballet The Nutcracker to the United States and raising it to national popularity, as well as staging the first American performances of Swan Lake and Coppelia. Christensen is often credited with helping to rejuevinate American dance.

What Classic Actress Are You?

Maybe it's just the trumpet ego talking, but I like to imagine that I'm a fairly unique individual. I am an obsessive musician and artist that continues to dream big as I'm strapped into a nice comfortable 9 to 5. I practice obsessively and jump at every opportunity to perform...admittedly at the expense of many other activities in which others my age are more typically engaged.

I'm passionate, artistic, mercurial, and I like using words like mercurial. I'm blissfully married to a wonderful man. I don't have the ego to think that my particular brands of cynicism or idealism are the way things really are- though I tend to be an idealist. I believe in having compassion, searching, and expressing and that we're never fully formed so we all need to be patient with each other. I love performing and creating.

I'm a former professional classical ballet dancer who now directs a small ballet company while working full-time as a research scientist. I am the father of a wonderful boy diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome. I've dropped over thirty pounds these past two months and plan to drop another twenty. I am in love with Constanza. That pretty much sums it up.

I was born and raised in EC, NC, (trust me, you've never heard of it!). Got alot of my ballet training and street survival skills in "da burgh", where I graduated from Schenley High and Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre. I was a PD at Pacific Northwest Ballet in Seattle for a year, where I learned to be a coffee snob. My first job was with Tulsa Ballet (and you thought Salt Lake was boring!), where I became a margarita snob.

Happily married with one wonderful daughter and three adorable guinea pigs. I am currently working as a legal advisor for the United Nations, but am also starting my own consulting business part-time to make a few extra bucks. My husband works for The Town of Snowmass Village running heavy equiptment and does graphic art in his spare time. Emma, my daughter is in the 5th grade at The Waldorf School on the Roaring Fork.

Hmmm... What can I say... well I feel I am best described by Maya Angelou.... take it away... Phenomenal Woman- Pretty women wonder where my secret lies. I'm not cute or built to suit a fashion model's size But when I start to tell them, They think I'm telling lies. Why - what have you heard?

I have a long and crazy story, but I just like looking around these sites and meeting new people. I am 27 yrs old, a second year undergraduate at Hampshire College in Amherst, MA, an ex-ballet dancer and straight, an ex-commercial real eastate agent, I graduated high school from Interlochen Arts Academy, I've been to most of Western Europe, perfomed in China... etc. etc. I couldnt even make up my life if I wanted to.

I'm a designer, artist, and wannabe animator currently living and working in the bubble of good restaurants, odd politics, and venture capital that is San Francisco. In former lives I was a picture framer, gallery assistant, stagehand, ballet dancer, and east coast resident. I'm not going back. I love drawing things, whether on paper or on screen.

I am an energetic individual who loves to live life to its fullest. There is nothing I want to miss in this life!

Hellooooooooo...my name is Beth! I am currently dancing with Ballet West II in Salt Lake City, Utah. Ballet has been a part of my life almost since I started walking...and I guess you could say that I have this love/hate relationship with it. Ask any dancer though and they would probably tell you the same thing.

Randall Soileau Randall Soileau affiliation with CCCB over the past 15 years has been extensive; performing, teaching, and choreographing new works. Some of his ballets for Concert Ballet include The Nutcracker , The Red Shoes , Carmen , and Aurora's Wedding . Mr. Soileau, a native of Baton Rouge, began his training with Louisiana Ballet. He continued his training as a scholarship recipient with the American Ballet Theater, Robert Joffrey, and Texas Christian University.
