Frans Nielsen (born April 24, 1984, in Herning, Denmark) is a Danish professional ice hockey player, currently with the New York Islanders in the NHL. He was the first Danish player to play in the NHL.

Trent Hunter (born July 5, 1980 in Red Deer, Alberta) is a Canadian ice hockey Right Wing. He plays for the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League. Originally drafted in the sixth round (150th overall) of the 1998 NHL Entry Draft by the Anaheim Mighty Ducks, Hunter was traded to the New York Islanders for a 4th round draft pick in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.

Blake Comeau (born on February 18, 1986 in Vancouver, British Columbia) is a Canadian ice hockey player, who grew up in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan. He plays Right Wing for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League. He played four seasons for the Kelowna Rockets of the WHL in which he recorded increasing point totals in each year. Jeff Hamilton is an ice hockey forward who plays for the Carolina Hurricanes of the NHL. He spent his high school career playing for Avon Old Farms and his college career playing for Yale University where he tallied 80 goals and 174 points in 127 contests. Charles B. Wang (born August 19, 1944) is the co-founder of Computer Associates International, Inc. (now CA, Inc.) and owner of the New York Islanders ice hockey team. He was born in Shanghai, but moved to Queens, NY, when he was eight years old. He attended the elite Brooklyn Technical High School in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. He earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Queens College in New York, and began working at Columbia University.

Steve Stirling (Born: November 9, 1949 in Clarkson, Ontario, Canada-) is a former head coach of the National Hockey League New York Islanders. He spent a season and a half as coach of the Islanders before his dismissal in January of 2006. He has also played centre for various teams in the NCAA, AHL and NAHL. He has previously served as head coach of the Bridgeport Sound Tigers and Providence College and as assistant coach of the Islanders and the Lowell Lock Monsters.

Peter Ferraro (born January 24, 1973 in Port Jefferson, New York) is a NHL hockey player who, along with his twin brother, Chris Ferraro, became the first set of identical twins to play on the same NHL team, (the New York Rangers) in the 1995-1996 NHL hockey season. Peter Ferraro was the first of the Ferraro twins to be drafted into the NHL in the first round (#24 overall) in the 1992 NHL Entry Draft by the New York Rangers.

Koalska made his professional debut with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League in the 2004-05 season. He appeared in three NHL games with the New York Islanders in the 2005-06 season, going scoreless.

Tomi Pettinen is a Finnish professional ice hockey defenceman. He was drafted by the New York Islanders as their ninth-round pick, #267 overall, in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. Pettinen came to North America in 2002 to play for Islanders minor league club, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. While in his native Finland, he has played for Ilves, HIFK, and Lukko.

Chris Madden is a professional ice hockey player who plays goal for the American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers. He is a journeyman who has played in the OHL, ECHL, and presently the AHL. Daniel Tkaczuk (born on June 10, 1979 in Toronto, Ontario) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player of Polish origin. He's considered to be one of the biggest draft busts of recent years. Tkaczuk was selected 6th overall in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft by the Calgary Flames, represented Canada at the 1999 Under 20 World Junior Championship and was named to the AHL All-Rookie Team the following season.

Phil Giubileo is a professional hockey announcer. Giubileo grew up in the Bronx, NY and attended Fordham University, where he graduated with a B.S. in Management Sciences. Giubileo is a play-by-play broadcaster who recently completed his first season with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League (AHL). He was drafted in the seventh round, 184th overall, by the Buffalo Sabres in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft. you may not know this but i'm a pretty big deal. i make people laugh because they think im funny. if people dont think im funny then i dont make them laugh. its as simple as that. im a big prankster and my favorite day is definately april 1st. what other day can you go around f'ing with people and at the end you just have to say APRIL'S FOOLS and all is forgotten. its awesome and i love it.

Well let’s see…I work as a video and graphic producer for the New York Islanders in the game operations department. I love my job and the people I work with. In fact of the three total full time people in my department my roommate is one of them. Aside from work I graduated from Quinnipiac University in ’05, after extending my undergrad studies to a full 5 years.
