Tony Smith, Assistant Coach at Featherstone Rovers under head coach David Hobbs. A former Great Britain rugby league international, is the former coach of Super League club Wakefield Trinity Wildcats. He was appointed in August 2005 after a successful spell as caretaker coach following the sacking of Australian Shane McNally. However, with the Wildcats facing relegation, Smith was sacked in July 2006 and replaced a few days later by John Kear.

John Kear played on the wing for Castleford Tigers and is currently the coach of Wakefield Trinity Wildcats rugby league club that plays in the Super League. He was the coach who led Sheffield Eagles to a remarkable Challenge Cup final victory over Wigan Warriors in 1998. He went on to coach at Huddersfield Giants before moving on to the assistant coach role at Wigan. He was also coach of the England team in the 2000 World Cup.
