- Andrew Herbert
Andrew Herbert is Managing Director of Microsoft Research, Cambridge, UK. Herbert took a BSc in computational science at Leeds University (1975), then worked on "A Microprogrammed Operating System Kernel" for his PhD from Cambridge University (1978). His research interests include computer networking, operating systems, distributed computing, programming languages and large-scale data driven systems.

Stephen Byram "Furbie" Furber, FRS, FREng (born 1953 in Manchester, England) is the ICL Professor of Computer Engineering at the School of Computer Science at the University of Manchester but is probably best known for his work at Acorn where he was one of the designers of the BBC Micro and the ARM 32-bit RISC microprocessor. Furber was educated at Manchester Grammar School and represented the UK in the International Mathematical Olympiad in Hungary in 1970.

Previous positions were Professor at the University of Central England (in Birmingham) and at the University of East London where he set up the Mobile Robots Research Unit. Sir Richard Davies, KCVO, CBE (1916 - 1995) was a member of the Household of the Duke of Edinburgh of the United Kingdom. Davies was educated at Porth County School, and Cardiff Technical School. He graduated with a BSc, and was a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and a FIEE. He was a member of the Scientific Civil Service 1939-1946, and was in the British Air Commission, Washington, DC, 1944-1945.

- Edward Addison
Air Vice-Marshal Edward B Addison CB, CBE, OBE, MA, CENG, FIEE was AOC 100 (Bomber Support) Group from 1943 to 1945. With a specialism in electrical engineering, Addison was tasked to head newly formed 100 (BS) Group of Bomber Command in November 1943. The group was tasked with the jamming of enemy radar and communications systems from the air and Addison was its only commander.
