  4. Alexandra Delvalle

    Alexandra DelValle is an Oberlin College graduate and holds a B.A. in Women’s Studies and Sociology. While at Oberlin, she received the Mellon Minority Undergraduate Fellowship, and concentrated in Puerto Rican feminism and nationalism. She has considerable experience in the social justice movement, having worked with feminist organizations such as NOW-NYC and NARAL Pro-Choice New York as well as with labor and anti-gun violence groups.

    Jessica Haro is a member of the Choice USA board of directors, and the past president of Stanford Students for Choice, a Choice USA affiliate. As president, she ran the Stanford campaign to defeat Proposition 73, a ballot initiative for parental notification of a minor's abortion which would have written a definition of life beginning at conception into the California constitution.

    Kate DeMayo , joined the United States Program in January of 2004, where she is currently a Coordinator. Previously she worked for Ipas’s Training and Service Delivery Improvement and Product Promotion and Distribution units as an administrative assistant. Before joining Ipas she was the Reproductive Health and Access Intern at NARAL Pro-Choice New York.     Lauren Young , a department editor for the Personal Business section at BusinessWeek, covers mutual funds, travel, and health, among other topics. She joined BusinessWeek in October 2003 after working as a senior writer for SmartMoney. Young also wrote about mutual funds for the Dow Jones Newswires and was a frequent contributor to The Wall Street Journal. At Dow Jones, Young was a union leader and led a fight to have the health plan cover contraceptives.

    Suzanne Poppema , MD, Board Development Chair, is a recently retired abortion provider in Seattle, Washington, who has been lecturing, teaching, and speaking nationally and internationally about provision of reproductive health services since the 1970’s. The author of Why I Am An Abortion Doctor , she is a leader in Physicians for Reproductive Choice and Health and has served as President of the board of the National Abortion Federation.

    Wyndi Marie Anderson , Fundraising Chair and Treasurer, is a leading feminist and social justice advocate who has been working for the protection of human rights for over ten years. Her recent work for the rights of drug-addicted women has earned her national recognition as a leader in both the women’s rights and the drug policy reform movements.
