In addition, Arena, who last week lost his job as the coach of the USA national team, will also serve as the Red Bulls' sporting director. Daniel R. Mackesey was born July 14, 1954 in Ithaca, New York and attended Cornell University where he was a member of the Quill and Dagger society and graduated cum laude in 1977.
