I have recently moved to Slidell, LA after 15 years in the San Francisco Bay Area. I initially came for my Cousin's wedding on the soft white sand sands of Destin beach just over a week after Katrina hit the golf coast. After the wedding we headed back into the storms wake with no elec or AC & high ninty degree weather. I ended up staying to help out untill the New Orleans airport reopeded a month later.
