  1. David Murdoch

    David Murdoch (born April 17 1978 in Dumfries) is a Scottish curler from Lockerbie. Murdoch and his team of Ewan MacDonald, Warwick Smith, Euan Byers and Peter Smith were the 2006 World Curling Champions. Murdoch is a two time World Junior Curling Champion - in 1995, as an alternate for Tom Brewster, Jr., and in 1996 as a lead for James Dryburgh. In 1998 he won a silver medal at the World Juniors as a third for Garry MacKay.

  2. Anette Norberg

    Anette Norberg is a Swedish curler from Saltsjo Boo. She, and her team are the current Olympic women's curling champions having won the 2006 Women's Curling tournament in Turin over Mirjam Ott's Swiss team. Since her debut on the international circuit, Norberg has won six European Curling Championships (1988, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 & 2005) and two World Curling Championships (2005&2006).

  3. Thomas Ulsrud

    Thomas Ulsrud is a Norwegian curler. In his second World Junior Curling Championships, Ulsrud skipped Norway to a bronze medal in 1988. In 1997, he curled in his first European Curling Championships where his team finished in seventh. He returned in 2000, 2002 and 2003- winning bronze in 2002. In 1998 Ulsrud curled in his first World Curling Championships where he skipped Norway to a 5th place finish.

  5. Andy Kapp

    Andreas "Andy" Kapp (born December 8, 1967 in Sonthofen) is a German curler from Unterthingau. After a number of unsuccessful tournaments at the Junior, Olympic and World Championship levels, Kapp surprised many by winning the 1992 European championship. The next year however, he finished only 7th, but at the 1994 World Championships he and his team won the bronze medal. The next year, Kapp would go on to win the bronze medal once again.

    Peter "Peja" Lindholm is a Swedish curler. He is a three time world champion skip, winning in 1997, 2001 and 2004.   9. Andrea Schöpp

    Andrea Schöpp is a German curler from Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Schöpp is a six-time European champion (1986, 1987, 1989, 1991, 1995, 1998), former World champion (1988) and 1992 Winter Olympics champion (demonstration). Schöpp has skipped every team she has played for in international events- except for the 2005 European Mixed championship. Schöpp made her international debut in 1980 with a bronze medal at the European championships.

  10. Ewan MacDonald

    Ewan MacDonald (born November 17, 1975 in Inverness) is a Scottish curler. He currently plays alternate for Warwick Smith. At his World Championship debut in 1999, MacDonald played second for Hammy McMillan. Their Scottish team would go all the way and win the gold medal defeating Canada in the final, skipped by Jeff Stoughton. Later that year they won the European Curling Championships defeating Denmark in the final skipped by Ulrik Schmidt.

    Ulrich "Uli" Kapp is a German curler from Munich. He currently plays third for his brother, Andy Kapp. Uli has played third for Andy since 1992. Together, they have won European Curling Championships (1992 and 1997), two silver medals at the World Curling Championships (1997, 2007) and three bronze medals (1994, 1995 and 2005).

  12. David Smith

    David Smith is a Scottish curler. He plays second for Warwick Smith. In his very first international competition, the 1982 European Curling Championships, Smith won a gold medal playing second for Mike Hay. Hay and Smith were still juniors at the time and they won three straight bronze medals at the World Junior Curling Championships in 1983, 1984 and 1985. In the meantime, they won a brone medal at the European Championships in 1983.

  13. Olga Jarkova

    Olga Nikolajevna Jarkova ("Russian: Ольга Николаевна Жаркова"; born January 11, 1979 in Moscow, USSR) is a Russian curler. Jarkova has been curling for Russia internationally since 1999, when she threw fourth stones for Nina Golovtchenko at the World Junior Challenge where they won silver. She threw third stones that year at a disappointing last place finish in the World Junior Curling Championships.

  15. Pål Trulsen

    Pål Trulsen is a Norwegian curler from Hosle in Bærum, and was the 2002 Olympic curling men's champion. Trulsen participated in both the 1980 and 1981 World Junior Championships, finishing both tournaments with 2-7 and 4-5 records respectively. However, after participating in the 1981 and 1982 European championships, he was back at the juniors in 1983 where he won the silver medal, losing to Canada's John Base in the final.

  16. Claudia Toth

    Claudia Toth (born May 24, 1981) is the Austrian national curling team skip. She once turned down an offer to pose for the German edition of Playboy. She has played in two European Championships, skipping her Austrian team to an 11th place finish in 2004 and 9th place in 2005. In 2005, she posed nude in a calendar to promote women's curling. She attended the Bundesgymnasium/Bundesoberstufenrealgymnasium St. Johann in Tirol, Austria, from 1991 to 1999.

  17. Sebastian Stock

    Sebastian Stock (born November 15, 1977 in Immenstadt, West Germany) is a German curler living in Burgdorf, Switzerland. Stock's junior career included a silver medal at the 1995 World Junior Curling Championships and a bronze medal the following year. In 1995 he played third for Daniel Herberg and they lost to Tom Brewster, Jr.'s Scotland team in the final. Stock skipped the 1996 team.

  18. Cathrine Lindahl

    Cathrine Lindahl is a Swedish curler from Östersund. Lindahl plays second for her sister, Anette Norberg's team. At the 2006 Winter Olympics, the team won the gold medal. Lindahl skipped a team to both the 1989 and 1990 World Junior Curling Championships, winning the silver medal in the ladder- losing to Kirsty Addison of Scotland. The following year, she was an alternate for the gold medal Swedish team skipped by Eva Eriksson.

    Monika Wagner is a German curler from Garmisch-Partenkirchen. She currently plays third for Andrea Schöpp. Wagner has played with Schöpp for most of her international career.     Torger Nergård is a Norwegian curler from Oslo. Nergård is the alternate for Pål Trulsen's Norwegian team. With Trulsen, Nergård has played as the alternate in both the 2006 Winter Olympics and the 2002 Winter Olympics. Norway won gold in the ladder. Wiebe has played in six European Curling Championships, including a 10th place finish in the 1999 Championships as a third for Wim Neeleman. Wiebe has skipped the Dutch team to two European championships. In 2002 they finished 12th and in 2005 they finished 19th.

  22. Peter Wilson

    Peter Wilson (born December 9, 1961 in Stranraer, Scotland) is an Irish curler. In 1981, Wilson skipped his native Scotland to a gold medal at the World Junior Curling Championships over Denis Marchand of Canada. Three years later he skipped Scotland to a silver medal at the European Curling Championships, losing to Peter Attinger, Jr. of Switzerland. Wilson would not return to a major international tournament until 1997.

  23. Thomas Due

    Thomas Due is a Norwegian curler. In his first World Junior Curling Championships, playing with skip Thomas Ulsrud he got a bronze medal in 1988. He played two more WJC in 1991 and 1992. In 1997, he curled in his first European Curling Championships where his team finished in seventh. He returned in 2000, 2002 2003 and 2006 - winning bronze in 2002.   24. Shari Leibbrandt-Demmon

    Shari Leibbrandt-Demmon (born March 26, 1966 in Salmon Arm, British Columbia, Canada) is a Dutch curler from the Curling Club Utrecht. She is the Skip of Dutch national team. In 2004 she skipped the Netherlands to a 12th place finish at the European Curling Championships. In 2005, she finished 7th place, earning the Netherlands a berth at the 2006 World Championships. The team did not fare well there, finishing last out of 12 teams and failing to notch a victory.

  25. Ulrika Bergman

    Ulrika Bergman is a Swedish curler from Solna. She is currently the alternate for the World and Olympic Champion Anette Norberg team. She was the fourth player (threw last rocks) for Margaretha Lindahl in four straight world junior championships from 1993 to 1996. Their best finish was in 1997 when they won the silver medal. In 1997, she switched throwing positions with Lindhal for their debut at the European Championships where they won a silver.

  26. Flemming Davanger

    Flemming Davanger is a Norwegian curler from Bærum. In his third World Junior Curling Championships in 1983, Davanger, playing second Pål Trulsen's Norwegian team picked up a silver medal, losing to Canada's John Base in the final. In 1986, Davanger played in his first World Curling Championships playing third for Tormod Andreassen, and they finished in sixth place. Later that year, the team picked up a bronze at the European Curling Championships.

  27. Dorthe Holm

    Dorthe Holm (born July 3, 1972) is a Danish curler from Kastrup. Holm skipped the Danish women's team at the 2006 Winter Olympics. The team were the only athletes Denmark sent to the games, as such Holm carried the flag for Denmark in the opening ceremonies. Holm has had a long curling career, which internationally began in 1987 at the European Junior Championships. By 1994, Holm had competed in six World Junior Curling Championships, winning bronze in 1993 and 1994.

  28. Idske de Jong

    Idske de Jong (born 18 August 1984) is a Dutch curler from the Curling Club Motip Dubli. She plays second for Shari Leibbrandt-Demmon's team. The team, with De Jong at that time as the alternate, finished in 7th place at the 2005 European Curling Championships, which qualified them for the 2006 Ford World Women's Curling Championship where they finished in the last position. She currently participates in the 2006 European Curling Championships.

  29. Douglas Dryburgh

    Douglas Dryburgh (born June 30, 1966 in Kirkcaldy, Scotland) is an Irish curler. Dryburgh was a successful junior curler in his native Scotland. In his first international tournament, Dryburgh and his Scottish team claimed a gold medal at the 1987 World Junior Curling Championships. Later that year he skipped the Scottish team to a sixth place finish at the European Curling Championships.

  30. Lars Vågberg

    Lars Vågberg is a Norwegian curler from Bærum. Vågberg began his international curling career in Sweden. In his first international tournament, he was the second Mikael Hasselborg's 1990 European Curling Championships winning team. With Hasselborg, he would finish 7th at the World Curling Championships in 1992 and a bronze medal at the 1994 European Championships. By 1997 Vågberg had moved to Norway.

  31. Bent Ånund Ramsfjell

    Bent Ånund Ramsfjell is a Norwegian curler from Asker. Ramsfjell currently plays lead for the Norwegian team skipped by Pål Trulsen. He has played lead for the team since the 1999 World Curling Championships. With the team, Ramsfjell has won an Olympic gold medal (2002), a European Curling Championships gold medal (2005), a World Championships silver medal (2002), two World Championships bronze medals (2001, 2003) and a European Championships bronze medal (2004).

  32. Jan Thoresen

    Jan Thoresen (born December 1, 1968) is a Norwegian curler. He currently plays lead for Thomas Ulsrud. Thoresen played juniors for Anthon Grimsmo. He won a bronze medal at the 1987 World Junior Curling Championships playing second for Grimsmo. Thoresen would then join up with Eigel Ramsfjell playing both third and second for him. As a third on the team, he won a bronze medal at the 1995 European Curling Championships and a bronze medal at the 1998 Winter Olympics.

  33. Mark Rurup

    Mark Rurup is a Dutch curler from the Curling Club Utrecht. He is the Skip of the Praxis Hammerheads and is the Alternate for the Dutch national team in the 2005 European Championships.   34. Markus Eggler

    Markus Eggler is a Swiss curler. He currently plays second for Ralph Stöckli. Eggler was the skip of the Swiss team at the 1986, 1987 and 1989 World Junior Curling Championships. At the 1989 event, he won a bronze medal. He then skipped the Swiss team at the World Curling Championships in 1991, 1992 and 1994. He was the world champion in 1992 when his Swiss team defeated Hammy McMillan's Scottish team in the final 6-3.

    Steven "Steve" van der Cammen is a Dutch curler from the Curling Club Utrecht. He is the current third on the Dutch national team. At the 2001, European Championships, he played as an alternate for Rob Vilain's 16th place team. In 2002, he was lead for Reg Wiebe's 12th place European Championship team. In 2003, he was lead for Floris van Imhoff's 13th place European Championship team.

  36. Reinier Butöt

    Reinier Butöt is a Dutch curler from the Curling Club Utrecht. He is the current lead of the Dutch national team. In 2001, 2002 and 2003 he played third for Mark Neeleman at the World Junior "B" Curling Championships. All three years they finished 7th. Butöt was also an alternate on two European Championships teams: 12th place for Reg Wiebe in 2002 and 13th place for Floris van Imhoff in 2003.

  37. Christiaan Offringa

    Christiaan Offringa is a Dutch curler from the Curling Club Utrecht. He is the Skip of the second Dutch national team. He played lead for the Dutch Junior team at the 2001 and 2003 "B" World Junior Championships, finishing 7th both times on a team skipped by Mark Neeleman.     Ellen van der Cammen is a Dutch curler from the Curling Club Utrecht. She plays third for the Dutch national team. In 2001, she was an alternate for the team, skipped by Margrietha Voskuilen that finished 13th at the European Curling Championships. In 2002, she was the team's second in a 16th place finish at the European championships. In 2004, as a third for Shari Leibbrandt-Demmon, the Dutch finished in 12th place. In 2005, they finished in 7th place.

  39. Karlis Smilga

    Karlis Smilga (born 13th September in Jelgava, 1975) is a Latvian curler. He was the skip of the Latvian men's team at the 2004 and 2006 European Curling Championships where Latvia finished 19th and 17th, respectively. The 2005 he skipped a mixed curling team to that year's European Mixed Championship where Latvia finished 13th. Since May, 2006 he is President of Latvian Curling association.

  40. Simon Strübin

    Simon Strübin is a Swiss curler. He currently plays lead for Ralph Stöckli. Strübin played second for Stöckli at the 1998 World Junior Curling Championships where they picked up a bronze medal. In 2003, he moved to lead on the team where they won the silver medal at the 2003 Ford World Curling Championships.
