Laurie Halse Anderson (born October 23, 1961) is a U.S. author who writes for children and young adults. She is best known for her young adult novel "Speak" which won a number of awards, including a National Book Award nomination and Printz Honor Book, and has been adapted for the screen. Her novel "Prom" was a New York Times bestseller." Speak" and "Fever 1793" are used in school curricula all over the United States.

Christian "Chris" Wedge (born March 20 1957 in Binghamton, New York) is an American film director, best known for the films "Ice Age" and "Robots".

Tom Rafferty (born August 2 1954 in Syracuse, New York) is a former American Football offensive lineman. He attended Fayetteville-Manlius High School in Manlius, New York, and went on to start 4 years for coach Joe Paterno at Penn State University earning All-American honors in 1975. Rafferty's entire pro career in the NFL was spent with the Dallas Cowboys (1976-1989).

Jonathan Murray (Born 1955) is a producer and co-creator of MTV's "The Real World", "Road Rules", and "Oxygen Network's" "The Bad Girls Club". He attended Fayetteville-Manlius High School and is currently in their Hall of Distinction. His niece, Hailey Murray, appeared on the Daytime reality series, "Starting Over", another show he helped create, during the show's first season, with her mother, Lynnell.

Heather Bliss Head Women's Lacrosse Coach Heather Bliss was named Colgate's seventh head women's lacrosse coach in August 2006. She came to Colgate from Davidson College in North Carolina where she served as the head women’s lacrosse coach for three seasons. Last season, Bliss led Davidson to a 9-7 overall record, which tied the school record for wins.

John David Halverson '63 , professor of surgery emeritus at the State University of New York's Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, was born on March 4, 1941, in Owatonna, MN. A son of Paul M., later a professor of education at Syracuse University, and Juliette Roberts Halverson, he grew up in the Syracuse area and was graduated from Fayetteville-Manlius High School in 1959. He entered Hamilton that year and joined Chi Psi.

Christina M. Alibrandi is a graduate of Fayetteville-Manlius High School and is the daughter of Maria Alibrandi, Senior Court Office Assistant, Onondaga County Surrogate's Court. Christina will be attending Fashion Institute of Technology in the Fall majoring in Production Management/International Trade & Marketing.
