  1. Laura Secord

    Laura Secord (née Ingersoll) was a Canadian heroine of the War of 1812. She is known as Canada's Paul Revere. Laura Ingersoll was born in Great Barrington, Massachusetts in 1775. Suffering the aftermath of the American Revolution, her father, Thomas Ingersoll, moved the family to the Canadas in 1795, and in 1797 she married the Loyalist James Secord, son of an officer of Butler's Rangers (the Ingersolls themselves were not Loyalists).

    Barbara Frum, OC, BA, LL.D (September 8, 1937 - March 26, 1992) was one of Canada's most respected and influential journalists, a legendary interviewer for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. Born Barbara Rosberg in Niagara Falls, New York, Frum grew up across the river in Niagara Falls, Ontario. She studied history at the University of Toronto. She married Toronto dentist Murray Frum (1957) who later became a real estate developer.

    Sandro DeAngelis is the current placekicker for the Calgary Stampeders since 2005. DeAngelis starred at fullback and linebacker for St. Joseph’s Collegiate High School in Buffalo, N.Y. DeAngelis earned First-Team All-Wester New York honors as a kicker in 1999, connecting on four field goals, while kicking 70 percent of his kickoffs into the end zone. He also rushed for 600 yards and nine touchdowns in just four games.

She enlisted in the Canadian Women's Army Corps, travelled the country from 1943 to 1946 and attained the rank of sergeant.

    Edward Leonard Greenspan (born February 28, 1944, Niagara Falls, Ontario) is a Canadian lawyer. He is one of the most famous defence lawyers in Canada, owing to several high-profile clients and to his national exposure on the popular Canadian Broadcasting Corporation radio series, "The Scales of Justice" (1982-1989). A graduate of the Osgoode Hall Law School (1968), Greenspan is the senior partner of the Toronto law firm of Greenspan, White.

    Russell Brockbank (1913-1979) was a Canadian-born cartoonist who spent much of his working life in the United Kingdom. He was actually born in Niagara Falls, Ontario. He moved to England in 1929. Brockbank was best known for his motoring, motor racing and aviation cartoons. His work was published in numerous magazines and journals, including Lilliput, Motor and Punch. His association with Punch lasted over 30 years, and he was Art Editor from 1949 to 1960.
