1. Alexei Yagudin

    Alexei Konstantinovich Yagudin is a Russian figure skater. Yagudin was the 2002 Olympic champion as well as a four-time World Champion, a two-time World Professional Figure Skating Champion, a three-time European Champion, and three-time Grand Prix Final gold medalist.

    Irina Eduardovna Slutskaya (born February 9, 1979) is a Russian figure skater. She is a two-time World Champion, seven-time European Champion, two-time Olympic medalist, and four-time Grand Prix Final Champion. Slutskaya, known for her athletic ability, was the first female skater to land a triple lutz-triple loop combination. She is also known for her trademark double Biellmann spin with a foot change, which she also invented.

  3. Fumie Suguri

    is a Japanese figure skater. Suguri is a five-time Japanese National Champion, three-time World Championship medalist, and the 2004 Grand Prix Final Champion.

  4. Patrice Lauzon

    Patrice Lauzon (born November 26, 1975 in Montreal, Quebec) is a Canadian figure skater. He currently competes in ice dance with Marie-France Dubreuil. They joined forces on the ice in 1995 after he had split with his previous partner Chantal Lefebvre. The pair has captured the gold medal at the Canadian National Championships four times and competed at the Winter Olympics twice. They were forced to withdraw from the 2006 Winter Olympics after Dubreuil suffered an injury.

    Evgeni Viktorovich Plushenko, or Yevgeny Viktorovich Plyushchenko (born November 3, 1982 in Solnechny, Khabarovsk Krai, Soviet Union (Russia) is a Russian figure skater, the seven-time National Champion, five-time European Champion, three-time World Champion, 2006 Winter Olympics gold medalist, and four-time Grand Prix Final gold medalist.

  6. Marie-France Dubreuil

    Marie-France Dubreuil (born August 11, 1974 in Montreal, Quebec) is a Canadian figure skater. She currently competes in ice dance with Patrice Lauzon. They joined forces on the ice in 1995. The pair has captured the gold medal at the Canadian National Championships four times and competed at the Winter Olympics twice.

  7. Emanuel Sandhu

    Emanuel Sandhu (born November 18, 1980) is a Canadian figure skater. He is a three-time Canadian national champion and the 2004 Grand Prix champion.

  8. Kim Yu-Na

    Kim Yu-Na (born September 5, 1990 in Gunpo, South Korea), is a South Korean figure skater. She is the 2007 World bronze medalist, 2006 World Junior Champion, 2006 Grand Prix Final Champion and a four-time South Korean national champion.

  9. Alissa Czisny

    Alissa Czisny (born June 25, 1987), is an American figure skater. She is the 2007 US National bronze medalist. In 2005, Czisny gained international attention when won Skate Canada International and placed second at Skate America. She qualified for the 2005-2006 Grand Prix Final and placed sixth. She went on to the 2006 US Championships in St. Louis, where she was a heavy favorite to place in the top three. However, Czisny fell multiple times and finished seventh overall.

  10. Zhang Hao

    Zhang Hao (born July 6, 1984 in Harbin, China) is a Chinese figure skater. He won the bronze medal in pairs at the 2005 World Figure Skating Championships with partner Zhang Dan. He and his partner (who are unrelated) have twice won the World Junior title. At the 2006 Winter Olympics, they won a silver medal despite a bad fall for Zhang Dan, who courageously decided to continue the program.

  11. John Baldwin

    John Baldwin, Jr. (born October 18, 1973 in Dallas, Texas) is an American figure skater. He currently competes in pairs figure skating with Rena Inoue, his partner both on and off the ice. They have twice won gold medals at the United States Figure Skating Championships and finished 7th at the 2006 Winter Olympics. Previously, he competed as a singles' skater, with a best finish of 9th at Nationals in 1995.

  12. Zhang Dan

    Zhang Dan (born October 4, 1985 in Harbin, China) is a Chinese figure skater. She won the bronze medal in pairs at the 2005 World Figure Skating Championships with partner Zhang Hao. She and her partner (who are unrelated) have twice won the World Junior title. At the 2006 Winter Olympics, they won a silver medal despite a bad fall for her in which she injured her knee, after which she decided to continue the program despite being in continued pain.

  13. Zhao Hongbo

    Zhao Hongbo (born September 22, 1973) is a Chinese pairs figure skater. With his partner Shen Xue, they won three World Championship titles, five Grand Prix Final championships and two Olympic medals.

  14. Alban Préaubert

    Alban Préaubert is a French figure skater. He was forced to withdraw from the 2006-2007 French Nationals due to injury, but was able to compete at the Grand Prix Final a few weeks later. Despite not competing at Nationals, he was named to the Europeans team.

  15. Tanja Szewczenko

    Tanja Szewczenko was a successful German figure skater. Standing five feet four and a half inches (1.64 m), she no longer skates competitively, but now concentrates on modelling and acting.   16. Júlia Sebestyén

    Júlia Sebestyén is a Hungarian figure skater. She is the first Hungarian woman to win the gold medal at the European Figure Skating Championships. Sebestyén began skating at the age of 4, practicing on the outdoor ice rink Tiszaújváros. After she turned 13 her situation improved. She is still skating for the club Tiszaújvárosi SC. Her former coach was András Száraz. Gurgen Vardanjan became her new coach shortly after the 2005-2006 season.

  17. Tonja Buford-Bailey

    Tonja Buford-Bailey (born December 13 1970 in Dayton, Ohio) is a former American athlete who competed mainly in the 400 metre Hurdles. She competed as Tonja Buford until marrying Victor Bailey on October 28, 1995. She competed for the United States in the 1995 World Championships held in Gotenberg, SWE in the 400 metre hurldes where she won the silver medal behind compatriot Kim Batten USA, Buford nearly caught Batten on the line as both athletics broke the World Record.
