Niko Klaus Petteri Kapanen (born 29 April 1978 in Hattula, Finland) is a professional ice hockey center for the Phoenix Coyotes. Nurminen started his playing career with Reipas Lahti in Finland and later moved on to Kettera Imatra and Pelicans. In 1998 he moved to HPK and then to Jokerit a year later, where he won the Urpo Ylönen trophy as best goaltender in the SM-liiga.

Kai Nurminen (born March 29, 1969, in Turku, Finland) is a Finnish ice hockey forward, currently with TPS in the Finnish SM-liiga. Nurminen started his hockey career playing for TPS in SM-liiga. He has also played two seasons in the Swedish Elitserien. In 1996 he was contracted by Los Angeles Kings in NHL. After only one season in NHL with 67 matches played (scoring 16 goals and 11 assists) he went back to Scandinavia.
