He is of mixed Hawaiian, Chinese, and Spanish descent. He is currently a quarterback for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. He was signed by the Arizona Cardinals of the NFL in 2005, but was cut in training camp. That year, Chang also played in the preseason for the Detroit Lions but did not make the final roster.

Colin Scotts (born April 26, 1963) is distinguished by being the first Australian to win a football scholarship in the United States to be drafted into the NFL. He became the second Australian to play in the NFL after Colin Ridgeway, an Australian rules football convert. Growing up in Palm Beach, Sydney, Scotts first played rugby union for The Scots College and had a successful career in the sport.
