Wong served in the Hong Kong Government as the Director of Social Welfare from March 1987 to February 1990, and Secretary for Health and Welfare from February 1990 to 1994.

Stephen Bradley is a British diplomat currently serving as the Consul-General to Hong Kong. From 1988 to 1993 he served in the Hong Kong Government as Deputy Political Adviser. He is known in Chinese as 柏聖文. As the Consul-General Bradley heads the British Consulate-General, Hong Kong, the biggest among British consulates-general and bigger than many British embassies abroad, which is responsible for maintaining British ties with Hong Kong and Macao.

Peter Kwang Yung Tsao <small>CBE</small> (Chinese: 曹廣榮) (born October 7 1933 in Shanghai, death June 6 2005 in Thailand) was a career civil servant of Hong Kong Tsao was Secretary for Administrative Services and Information (行政司) and Secretary for Home Affairs (政務司) of colonial Hong Kong Government from 1985 to 1991. He was the first ethnic Chinese person to be in a secretary-level position during colonial administration.
- Michael Rowse
Mr Michael Rowse is currently the Director-General of InvestHK, a department of the Hong Kong Government. Mr Rowse is one of the few foreign-born civil servants in post-handover Hong Kong. Since 1997, according to the Basic Law, government departments can only be headed by officers with no right of abode in a foreign country; this has resulted in the departure of some non-Chinese civil servants from the colonial administration.

Chau Cham Son, also known as Chamson Chau OBE CSt.J LLD JP, was a Chief Commissioner of The Scout Association of Hong Kong between 1985-1996. Chamson was born into one of the oldest families in Hong Kong, being the son of the late the Honourable Sir Chau Tsun-nin, Kt, CBE, JP. He graduated from the University of Hong Kong as an architect with post-graduate studies in the University of Liverpool and the University of Melbourne as town planner.
- Wong Shik Ling
Wong Shik Ling (also known as S. L. Wong (1908-1959) was a prominent scholar in Cantonese research. He is famous for his authoritative book, "A Chinese Syllabary Pronounced According to the Dialect of Canton" (《粵音韻彙》), which is influential in Cantonese research. He graduated from Lingnan University, Canton, China and then taught and researched Cantonese in the university.
- Leung Long Chau
Leung Long Chau (1911-1998) is a Chinese poet and calligrapher. Born in the early 1910s in Guangdong Province, China, he spent his childhood there and later received his graduate education at the Guangdong Medical Research Institute, until in the late 1920s he married Ho Wing Yuet and settled down in Hong Kong. Under colonial rule, his Chinese qualification as a medical practitioner was not recognised; he thus had to turn to business to make a living.
- Malcolm Struan Tonnochy
Malcolm Struan Tonnochy was a major official in Hong Kong. He has been an acting Governor of Hong Kong in March 1882. Tonnochy was born in Bengal, India in December 1841 and was of Scottish and Indian extraction (his paternal grandfather was Scot and paternal grandmother Indian). Tonnochy left India to work in Hong Kong' civil service in 1862. Tonnochy Road in Wan Chai was named after him.

Mr. Stanley Hui Hon-Chung became Dragonair's Chief Executive Officer in February 1997. He first worked with the Hong Kong Government as an EO before joining Cathay Pacific Airways as a Management Trainee in early 1975. As Manager for International Affairs at Cathay Pacific, his experiences in government negotiations for Air Service Agreements led to his involvement with the development of air services between Hong Kong and the Mainland.
