1. Tommy Blake

    Tommy Earl Blake, Jr. (born January 15, 1985 in Aransas Pass, Texas) is an American football defensive end, currently playing at the collegiate level for Texas Christian University. Blake was a stand out athlete at Aransas Pass High, earning 12 total letters (4 in basketball, 4 in track, 3 in football and 1 in baseball). He played running back for the Panthers, and as a senior ran for 2,1013 and 25 touchdowns.

  2. Chase Ortiz

    Chase Patrick Ortiz (born May 22, 1985) is an American Football defensive end who is currently playing at the collegiate level for Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. Ortiz played linebacker at Clear Creek High School in League City, Texas before deciding to play for the Horned Frogs. He redshirted during his first year at TCU in 2003 and did not see any playing time in 2004, either. During this time, he switched to defensive end, his current position.

    Brian Michael Bonner (born April 13, 1984) is an American Football safety who is currently playing at the collegiate level for Texas Christian University. Bonner was a stand out athlete at A.C. Jones High School in Beeville, Texas, earning 9 total letters (4 in football, 4 in track and 1 in basketball). He played quarterback for the Trojans, amassing 3,180 passing yards and 2,477 rushing yards in his career.

  4. Jason Phillips

    Jason Wesley Phillips (born February 14, 1986) is an American football linebacker who is currently playing at the collegiate level for Texas Christian University. Phillips played quarterback and linebacker at Waller High School in Waller, Texas, where he was coached by his father, Jim Phillips. He also served as the Bulldogs' long snapper. As a senior in 2003, he threw for 1,070 yards and rushed for 1,291 to earn District 18-4A MVP honors.

  5. Jim Swink

    Jim Swink (born March 14, 1936 in Sacul, Texas) is a former All-American running back at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. Swink grew up in Rusk, Texas, which led to his nickname, "The Rusk Rambler". He is remembered as one of the all-time greatest running backs in Southwest Conference history, and led the Horned Frogs to consecutive conferece championships in 1955 and 1956, which resulted in trips to the Cotton Bowl.

  7. Rags Matthews

    Raymond "Rags" Matthews (born August 17, 1905-January 1, 1999) was an All-American football player at Texas Christian University in the 1920s, playing end on both offense and defense. A Fort Worth native, Matthews attended Poly High School before TCU. He lettered three times under coach Matty Bell, during which the Horned Frogs posted a cumulative record of 17-5-5.   8. Ki Aldrich

    Charles Collins "Ki" Aldrich (June 1, 1916 - March 12, 1983) was an American football player. He was born in Rogers, Texas and attended high school in Temple, Texas. He was an All-American center at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. At TCU, he played alongside two legendary quarterbacks- Sammy Baugh and Davey O'Brien. Aldrich's senior year, 1938, the Horned Frogs won the National Championship, finishing 11-0 and winning the Sugar Bowl.

  9. Dutch Meyer

    Leo R. "Dutch" Meyer (January 15, 1898 - December 3, 1982) was the head football coach at Texas Christian University from 1934 to 1952. A native of Ellinger, Texas, Meyer played football, baseball and basketball at TCU, earning 11 varsity letters overall. Upon graduation in 1922 with a degree in geology, Meyer played one summer in the minor leagues for the Cleveland Indians organization.

  11. Lamarcus McDonald

    LaMarcus DeWayne McDonald (born February 25, 1981 in Waco, Texas) is a former All-American linebacker at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. At Waco High School, McDonald was named to the first-team 5A All-State team by the Associated Press, and was teammates with current Kansas City Chiefs' linebacker Derrick Johnson. At TCU, McDonald was a fan-favorite for his aggressive play on defense despite being undersized.

  12. Darrell Lester

    Darrell George Lester (April 29, 1914 - July 30, 1993) was two-time All-American center for Texas Christian University in the 1930s. A native of Jacksboro, Texas, Lester was not only a great football player at TCU. He earned nine varsity letters in all, also playing center on the Horned Frogs' basketball team and pitching for the baseball team. It was football, though, where Lester made his mark.
