1. Arie Luyendyk Jr.

    Arie Luyendyk, Jr. (born September 18, 1981 in Den Bosch, Netherlands) is an auto racing driver and son of Indianapolis 500 winner Arie Luyendyk. Despite his European birth, all of his adult racing has taken place in North America where his father lives and made his career.

  2. Ed Carpenter

    Ed Carpenter is an Indy Racing League driver born March 3, 1981. He is the stepson of Indy Racing League founder Tony George. He and his wife, Heather Carpenter, are expecting their first child in October of 2007. Following a successful career in midget racing that dated as far back as 1989, he moved up to single-seater formula cars in 2002 with the creation of the IRL Infiniti Pro Series.

    A.J. Foyt IV (born May 25, 1984 in Louisville, Kentucky) is an American race car driver. He is the grandson of racing legend A. J. Foyt, who guided him through much of his career.

  4. Thiago Medeiros

    Thiago Medeiros is a Brazilian racecar driver. He was the 2004 Infiniti Pro Series champion for Sam Schmidt Motorsports and attempted to make his Indy Racing League Indycar series debut in the last race of the 2005 season at California Speedway for Dreyer & Reinbold Racing. However, he crashed in practice and could not make a qualifying attempt or participate in the race.

  5. Mark Taylor

    Mark Taylor (born December 16, 1977 in Wimbledon, England) is a racing driver who drove in the Indy Racing League. He drove the entire 2004 season for two different teams, but could not find a seat for the 2005 season. Before driving in the IRL he won the 2003 Infiniti Pro Series season championship, dominating what was perceived as a relatively weak field by winning 7 of the 12 races in the season, driving the #4 car for the Fulmar Panther team.

  6. Jeff Simmons

    Jeff Simmons (born August 8, 1976 in Hartford, Connecticut) is an American race car driver in the Indy Racing League for Rahal Letterman Racing. Simmons began his professional career in Indy Lights in 2000, finishing 7th. He was the Infiniti Pro Series runner up in 2003, capturing 2 wins. In 2004, Mo Nunn gave him a chance to qualify his second car for the Indianapolis 500, which he did and finished 16th in the race.

  7. Aaron Fike

    Aaron Fike (born November 24, 1982) is a NASCAR driver from Galesburg, Illinois. He is the driver of the #1 Toyota Tundra Craftsman Truck Series truck and the younger brother of former NASCAR driver A. J. Fike. Fike began racing in 2001 in the USAC Silver Crown Series. He became the youngest driver to win a Silver Crown race (breaking Jeff Gordon's record), and finished tenth in points, earning him the Rookie of the Year award.

  8. Greg Ray

    Greg Ray (born August 3, 1966 Dallas, Texas) is a former IRL IndyCar Series driver. After winning the SCCA national Formula Atlantic championship in 1993, he moved up to the CART-sanctioned Toyota Atlantic series in 1994. In 1997 he made his Indy Racing League debut driving for Thomas Knapp in an unsponsored black #97 car. He made his mark on the series a year later during qualifying for the Indianapolis 500.

    P.J. Chesson (born December 9, 1978 in Far Hills, New Jersey) is an American race car driver in the Indy Racing League. He made his professional debut in sprint cars in 1998 and from 2000 to 2003 was one of the top drivers in the World of Outlaws winged sprint car series. In 2004 he suddenly decided to change his career path and drove in the IRL's Infiniti Pro Series winning his first three races and finishing fourth in series points despite missing three races.
