1. Brad Fittler

    Bradley Scott Fittler, AM, (born 5 February, 1972, in Auburn, New South Wales) is a former Australian rugby league player and current coach of the Sydney Roosters. He has captained both the New South Wales and Australian teams, and in 2000 was awarded the Golden Boot award. He is generally regarded as one of the all-time greats of the game.

  2. Terry Lamb

    Terry Lamb OAM, (born September 15, 1961) is an Australian former rugby league player. Lamb played 349 games (a competition record), with Wests (1980-1983), and Canterbury (1984-1996). Lamb was known for his support of the ball-carrier - his ability to be in the right place at the right time netted him 164 tries. He also kicked 386 goals and 44 field goals, for 1442 points in first grade. He played for New South Wales in State of Origin and Australia.

  3. Steve Folkes

    Steve Folkes (born 31 January 1959) is a former Australian rugby league test footballer and is currently the coach of the Canterbury Bulldogs in the National Rugby League. Folkes, who came from the Bankstown Sports Junior Rugby League Club, played 245 first grade games and 308 grade games for the Bulldogs between 1978 and 1991 as well as 24 games for Hull FC in England He also represented New South Wales on nine occasions in State of Origin football.

  4. Albert Rosenfeld

    Albert Aaron Rosenfeld (1885-1970) was an Australian rugby league footballer. Born in Sydney, the son of a Jewish tailer, Rosenfeld played for club side the Eastern Suburbs (1908-1909) club in Australia as well as the Huddersfield, Warrington and Bradford clubs in England. A five-eighth, Rosenfeld represented his country in four test matches and was a member of Australias first 'Kangaroo Tour' in 1908/09.

  5. Chris Mortimer

    Chris Mortimer (born in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, Australia) was a rugby league player for the Canterbury Bulldogs, Penrith Panthers, New South Wales and for the Australian national side. Chris Mortimer was the youngest of the three famous brothers to play for Canterbury during the late 1970's and 1980's. Glen Mortimer the 4th brother played 26 first grade games for Cronulla between 1983-87 after starting out in the Bulldogs lower grades.

  6. Ray Stehr

    Raymond Ernest Stehr (1913-1983) was an Australian rugby league footballer. Stehr was born in the country NSW town of Warialda on the 24th of January 1913. as an 8 year old child Stehr was diagnosed an incurable cripple after developing blood clots at the base of his spine. He was unable to walk for two years and spent 12 months strapped to a stretcher, completely immobilised with his back encased in a plaster cast.

  7. Dane Carlaw

    Dane Carlaw (born 21 February, 1980 in Brisbane, Queensland) is an Australian professional rugby league player for the Brisbane Broncos in the National Rugby League competition. A reliable workhorse in the second row, Carlaw won the Broncos' rookie of the year award in 2000. He goes in and out of form in patches but has represented Queensland and, at his peak, Australia.

  8. Larry O'Malley

    Larry 'Jersey' O'Malley (1883 - 1967) was an Australian rugby league player for the Eastern Suburbs club. He was the fifth Australian rugby league captain and the second from the Eastern Suburbs Club. O'Malley had a reputation as a tough 'no nonsense' forward. He made his representative debut for New South Wales in rugby league's inaugural interstate match in 1908. Later that year he was selected for Australia's first 'Kangaroo Tour'.

  9. Kevin Junee

    Kevin Junee was an Australian rugby league footballer who played in the New South Wales Rugby Football League premiership in the years 1964 to 1976. Kevin is the father of Australian rugby union player Darren Junee who also played rugby league for the Eastern Suburbs club.   10. Ken Thornett

    Ken Thornett is a former Australian rugby league player. He represented for the Kangaroos in 12 Tests in 1963-64 and on the 1963-64 Kangaroo Tour. He was a Fullback with the Parramatta Eels in 1960s. He played 136 games for the club. Thornett was the leading Australian Rugby League fullback in the early sixties after Barnes and before Johns & Langlands. Ken played in all six Tests of the 1963 Kangaroo Tour and in ten minor tour games.

  11. Dan Frawley

    Dan Frawley (Sydney) an Australian rugby league footballer. In rugby leagu's early years Frawley, a noted speedster, was said to be one of the games most exciting players. He played in seven test matches for Australia including two Kangaroo Tours. His final test came in 1914, the famous 'Rorke's Drift' test in which England, reduced to just 10 men, held out to win 14-6 and with it the series.

  12. Fred Tottey

    Fred Tottey (Australia) a rugby league footballer who played in Australia leading competition the New South Wales Rugby League(NSWRL). A winger, Tottey played 80 matches for Eastern Suburbs club in the years 1930-37. A member of Easts great sides of the 1930's, Tottey won back to back premierships with club in 1935, 1936 and 1937, in those 3 seasons the club lost just one match.

  13. John Wittenberg

    John Wittenberg (1938 to 2005) was an Australian rugby league player. He was a front-row forward with the St. George Dragons. He was a representative in the Australian national team in 1966 and from 1968 to 1970 earning 6 test caps. Wittenberg was from Wide Bay, Queensland and played for Toowoomba and the Wynnum-Manly Seagulls in the early and mid sixties from which clubs he represented for Queensland and Australia.

  14. Ferris Ashton

    Ferris Ashton(Sydney, Australia), Ashton was An Australian rugby league footballer who represented his country in 8 test matches.   15. Peter Dimond

    Peter Dimond (born in Dapto, New South Wales) was an Australian rugby league footballer who played his club rugby league for the Western Suburbs Magpies. He is the younger brother of Bobby Dimond. Peter was named both in the Western Suburbs Team of the Century and the Wests Tigers Team of the Century. While still a teenager, Dimond was selected to represent Australia in three test matches against Great Britain. Peter Dimond joined Western Suburbs in 1958.

  16. Bill Shankland

    William "Bill" Shankland (25 July 1907 - 8 September 1998) was one of Australia's great all-round sportsmen. Shankland was born in Sydney, New South Wales. An accomplished swimmer, boxer and cricketer, Shankland played for the Glebe and Eastern Suburbs clubs in rugby league. While playing for Glebe in 1928, the 21 year old was selected to make his state debut, the following year, moving to the Eastern Suburbs club, Shankland was selected for the 1929/30 Kangaroo Tour.

  17. Joe Busch

    Joe 'Chimpy' Busch(1907-1999) - Born in the New South Wales(NSW) country town of Maclean, Australia. Busch first broke into the Eastern Suburbs rugby league side as a 19 year old after being spotted by talent scout John 'Dinny' Campbell and invited to trial with the club.   18. Denis Donoghue

    Denis Donoghue was a rugby league footballer who played for South Sydney during the years of 1948-1957. South Sydney (1948-1957) 171 games New South Wales (1950-1954) 10 games Australia (1951) 2 Tests One of the toughest and most brutal players to ever play the game, Donoghue was also one of the best front rowers in the code.   19. Ron Saddler

    Ron Saddler An Australian rugby league player. Originally from Tweed Heads, Saddler played over 100 matches for Sydney club Eastern Suburbs in the years 1963-64 and 1966-71. An Aboriginal centre, Saddler was selected for the 1967/68 Kangaroo Tour playing in 12 matches - no tests. Ron Saddler has been allocated Eastern Suburbs player number 529.

  20. Wally Webb

    Wally Web was a rugby league player in the Australian competition the New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL). Webb played for the Eastern Suburbs club in the 1909 season. The father-in-law of Eastern suburbs legend Ray Stehr, Webb was one of that clubs earliest secretaries. Now deceased, Webb is a life member of the Eastern Suburbs club.
