Dave Archibald (born April 14, 1969, in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada) is a former National Hockey League right wing. He was drafted by the Minnesota North Stars in the first round, sixth overall, of the 1987 NHL Entry Draft. After playing four seasons in the Western Hockey League for the Portland Winter Hawks, Archibald made his NHL debut with the North Stars in the 1987-88 season. In his first two NHL seasons, he scored 27 goals and added 39 assists.

He has played 182 career NHL games, scoring 19 goals and 37 assists for 56 points. He also overcame a serious eye injury in 1999 to make the Islanders two seasons later.

He was drafted 48th overall by the Sabres in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft. Tallinder suffered a broken left arm in game 3 of the Sabres Eastern Conference finals against the Carolina Hurricans and missed the remainder of the 2006 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
