  1. Jim Danforth

    Jim Danforth is a master stop-motion animator, well-known for his model-animation work and matte painting skill. Danforth is known for his superb work on "When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth" (1971), a sequel of sorts to Ray Harryhausen's "One Million Years B.C." (1967). Danforth later went on to work with Harryhausen on the film "Clash of the Titans" (1981), in which he was mainly responsible for the animation of the winged-horse Pegasus.

    Mahiro Maeda is one of the most prominent Japanese anime creators working today, having worked as director, character designer, and animator for many of Japan's top series. He has been one of the top contributors at the anime studio GONZO for many years, having directed "Blue Submarine No. 6", "Final Fantasy: Unlimited" and "GankutsuĊu - The Count of Monte Cristo".

First came to public attention as a political/editorial cartoonist.

  11. Red Allrod

    Is in a band based in Eugene, Oregon, called The Gear, under the stage name Red Allrod. Was instrumental in connecting fellow comic artist Frank Miller with Robert Rodriguez, leading to their collaboration on the movie Sin City (2005), based on Miller's comic. Since 1998, Rodriguez has possessed the movie rights to Allred's "Madman" comic. He and his wife are Latter-Day Saints (the faith erroneously referred to as "Mormons"). In 2005, he wrote and drew (with wife Laura doing colours)...

  13. Roger Dean

    His colorful artwork, often based on the realm of fantasy (dragons, etc.) have been used on album covers for such bands as Yes and Asia. His book "Views" (1975) was used to inspire the design of the stage sets for Star Wars (1977).
