Peter Preston is a British journalist and author. Born May 23, 1938 in Leicestershire, he was educated at Loughborough Grammar School and St John's College, Oxford, where he edited the student paper "Cherwell". He has received honorary degrees from the City University, London and the University of Leicester (2003). He joined "The Guardian" in 1963 and was editor for twenty years, from 1975 to 1995.

- Denys Wilkinson
Sir Denys Haigh Wilkinson FRS (born 5 September 1922) is a British nuclear physicist. He was educated at at Loughborough Grammar School and Jesus College, Cambridge. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1956 and he won its Hughes Medal in 1965 and a Royal Medal in 1980. In 2001 the Nuclear Physics Laboratory at the University of Oxford was renamed in his honour.

George Davys (1780 - 1864) was tutor to Victoria of the United Kingdom and later Bishop of Peterborough. He was previously Dean of Chester. He himself was educated at Loughborough Grammar School, where a house is named after him.
- G.W. Briggs
George Wallace Briggs (1875-December 30 1959) was an English hymn writer and Anglican clergyman. He was born in Nottingham and educated at Loughborough Grammar School and Emmanuel College, Cambridge. He served as a padre in the Royal Navy (1902-1909) before becoming Vicar of St. Andrew's Church, Norwich and in 1918 became Rector of All Saints Church, Loughborough.

Marcus Rose (born 12 January 1957) is a former England rugby union international full back who gained ten caps between 1981 and 1987. He was educated at Loughborough Grammar School and Cambridge University. He played for Coventry R.F.C. and Harlequins. He made his England debut in the 1981 Five Nations championship, replacing Dusty Hare in the team against Ireland. He then played against France and Australia but was then out of the team for five years until 1987.

Richard Hudson (born 1939; usually known as Dick Hudson) is a British linguist. He has lived in England for most of his life (with three years in New Zealand, 1945-8). He turned into a linguist via Loughborough Grammar School in Leicestershire (1948-58), Corpus Christi College, Cambridge (1958-61) and the School of Oriental and African Studies (PhD, 1961-4).
- Charles McCurdy
Charles Albert McCurdy (1870 - 1941) was a British Liberal Member of Parliament and minister in the Lloyd George Coalition Government. McCurdy was educated at Loughborough Grammar School and Pembroke College, Cambridge. He then became a barrister and was then elected Member of Parliament for Northampton in 1910. He was Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food Control from 1919 to 1920 and then Minister of Food Control in 1920.

Hello. What do i want to tell you about me? Let's see, well i'm 23, im English and i'm a bit tired. I live on my own, well, with my cat, in Dade City. I'm a Tottenham Hotspur fan when it comes to football, but in general I try to play and follow as many sports as possible. Baseball is a big passion of mine, despite the fact I live on the otherside of the pond. My team...the Red Sox! I think that's about it really.

What can i say? I'm really enjoying things at the moment and am always feeling good + happy - !Lu knows why! i try to take every oppurtunity that comes to me. I don't like being apathetic or miserable because that's just a waste of time. I play guitar and love every second when im playing it - whether just at home or in the bands - I don't get off on snapping strings mind, pain in the arse to change etc.
