Lyra Heller is a co-founder of Metagenics and an anthropologist with 30 years of experience and expertise in the areas of complementary and alternative medicine. Ms. Heller plays a critical role in the design and development of Metagenics' formulas while educating health professionals worldwide on the benefits of integrating a variety of natural healing systems with contemporary medical practice.

JEFFREY J. KATKE Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer Jeff Katke, Metagenics' Chairman and CEO, is the leading force in the vision, mission, and strategic direction of the company. He has more than 25 years of experience in the nutritional sciences industry, with direct involvement in sales, marketing, research, product development, manufacturing, finance, and general business management.

PAUL E. KONNEY General Counsel As General Counsel of Metagenics, Paul Konney is responsible for worldwide legal and regulatory affairs. Mr. Konney has over 15 years of experience as general counsel of Fortune 500 companies. His areas of expertise include corporate and securities law, mergers and acquisitions (both domestic and international), litigation, and FDA regulation. Mr. Konney began his legal career at the New York City law firm of Debevoise & Plimpton.

Jason is working on the development of GreenAngle.com, the premiere career portal for the high tech industry.

Gary Darland , PhD Senior Director of Applied Science Dr. Darland heads the team in our biological sciences department. He joined the Metagenics family after 23 years of research experience in natural products, and biochemistry and microbial genetics at Merck Research Laboratories. He received his doctorate in microbiology from the University of Washington.

Margaret King, BS Senior Director Quality Assurance/Quality Control Ms. King received her degree from Fort Wright College and joined the Metagenics family in 1991 as Technical Affairs Manager overseeing the Quality Control, Product Development, Technical, and Regulatory Departments. In 2002 Ms. King received her Regulatory Affairs Certification from the University of Washington.

James K. Hunt Advisory Limited Partner Mr. Hunt co-founded Bison Capital in 2001 and serves as Advisory Limited Partner. Mr. Hunt is the CEO and CIO of THL Credit Partners, LP, the credit investing affiliate of Thomas H. Lee Partners, LP. He is the former President of SunAmerica Corporate Finance and Executive Vice President of SunAmerica Investments, Inc. Prior to Sun America Mr. Hunt was with the Davis Companies, a private equity investment firm.

Yee- Ping Chu Partner Ping Chu is a Partner of Bison Capital, having joined the firm in 2003. Prior to joining Bison Mr. Chu was a member of Lehman Brothers’ Business Services investment banking group where his responsibilities included originating, analyzing and executing a broad range of both financing and merger and acquisition transactions.

Tim Avila , President & Chief Operating Officer — Tim is a leading authority in the nutrition industry, blending 15 years of experience in marketing and branding of “natural” consumer products with a comprehensive understanding of the biochemistry and bioactivity of nutrition ingredients.

DONALD B. TROUDY Vice President of Human Resources As Vice President of Human Resources, Don Troudy is responsible for the worldwide human resource programs of Metagenics. Mr. Troudy has over 20 years of corporate human resources experience having held senior human resources and risk management positions in both private and public companies. His areas of human resources expertise include employee relations, staffing, benefits, organizational development, and training.

DOUG GAYNOR Vice President of Marketing Doug Gaynor has over 15 years of experience in the development and sales of natural products. Ten of those years have been spent as a marketing professional and product category manager at Metagenics-first on the Unipro product line development and later on the gastrointestinal health and detoxification product lines.

JANICE MOORE Co-Chief Operating Officer Janice Moore brings over 25 years of hands-on experience in the nutritional supplement industry to Metagenics. From manufacturing and marketing to customer service and accounting, Ms. Moore's versatile capabilities extend to every function of operations management.

Matthew Tripp, PhD Vice-President of Research & Development Dr. Tripp has served as Vice President of Research and Development and Quality Assurance at Metagenics since 2000. He received his PhD in microbiology and physiology from Washington State University in 1981.

TIM KATKE Vice President of Sales Tim Katke , one of the founders of Metagenics, has played a pivotal role in the company’s sales success for over two decades. After starting in 1980 as a Field Sales Representative, he progressed to District Sales Manager, National Sales Manager, and Senior Director of Sales. In January 2007 he was promoted to Vice President of Sales.

ROBERT H. LERMAN , MD, PhD Director of Medicine and Bariatric Sciences Dr. Lerman is the Director of Medicine and Bariatric Sciences at Metagenics. Prior to Metagenics, Dr. Lerman was on staff at the Boston University School of Medicine, where he was an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine and a faculty member in Nutritional Sciences at the Henry M. Goldman School of Graduate Dentistry.

JOSEPH J. LAMB , MD is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Holistic Medicine. Until May 2000, he was President of The Integrative Medicine Works in Alexandria, Virginia. He now works for Metagenics. Dr. Lamb works in partnership with his patients to create optimal health and well-being by using functional medical approaches including lifestyle modification, herbal and nutritional therapies, and cognitive therapy approaches.

Deanna Minich, PhD, CN Director, Technology and Program Integration Dr. Minich leads the team of novel ingredient research and innovation and facilitates these new product concepts through their clinical development and eventual launch into the market. In addition, she counsels patients on nutrition and lifestyle using functional medicine protocols at the Functional Medicine Research Center in Gig Harbor, WA.

John Babish, PhD Executive Vice President, MetaProteomics® Nutrigenomics Research Center Dr. Babish joined Metagenics in 2002. He brings extensive experience with the publishing of over 100 peer-reviewed scientific papers and is an inventor on 14 U.S. and 3 foreign patents. He was tenured Associate Professor of Pharmacology and Toxicology at Cornell University, Ithaca, New York for 17 years.

Mr. Morey is a graduate of California State University, Fullerton where he earned his bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting.

DANIEL LUKACZER , ND received his undergraduate degree from Duke University in 1980 and his doctorate in naturopathic medicine from Bastyr University in 1991. From 1991 to 1995, he developed and maintained a private practice. In 1996, he became Director of Clinical Research for the Functional Medicine Research Center, a division of Metagenics, Inc., and served in that capacity until 2005.
