He was drafted by the 49ers in the 1st round (16th overall) in the 2000 NFL Draft. Peterson is very explosive at the snap, gets to the edge in a hurry, and is a big hitter.

  7. Earl Morrall

    Earl Edwin Morrall (born May 17, 1934, in Muskegon, Michigan) is a former American football quarterback in the National Football League. Morrall, who also occasionally punted, lasted 21 seasons in the National Football League as both a starter and reserve. In the latter capacity, he earned something of a back-handed compliment: the greatest backup quarterback in NFL history. Morrall made Pro Bowl appearances following the 1957 and 1968 seasons.

  8. Morten Andersen

    Morten Andersen (born August 19, 1960, in Copenhagen, Denmark) is an American football placekicker who played for the Atlanta Falcons in 2006 and is currently a free agent. He has enjoyed a long career as one of the NFL's most prolific kickers. At age 46, he is the oldest player in the NFL, and is seven months older than current Falcons head coach Bobby Petrino. On December 16, 2006, Andersen passed Gary Anderson to become the all-time leading scorer in NFL history.

    Flozell Justin Adams (born May 18, 1976 in Chicago, Illinois) is an offensive tackle who currently plays football for the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL. In 2005 he began his 8th season. He tore his ACL on Sunday, October 16 2005 vs The New York Giants and was out for the remainder of the season. His loss was considered huge, as after the injury to Adams, Dallas had problems at the offensive line for the rest of the season, some say costing them their playoff spot.

    Paul Edinger (born January 17, 1978 in Frankfort, Michigan; raised in Lakeland, Florida) is a free agent National Football League kicker. Edinger has played for the Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings. Edinger is known for his unusual "corkscrew" kicking motion: before the snap he faces backwards in the direction of the opposite side of the field. As the ball is snapped he turns as he steps in a circular pattern toward the ball.

    The Associated Press reports former NFL WR Andre Rison was arrested and cited for public intoxication after an early-morning disturbance at a San Antonio hotel Monday, Dec. 29. Police were called to the hotel after Rison and a friend caused a scene at the Crown Plaza Riverwalk, the San Antonio Express-News reported. Rison paid an $85 fine for the misdemeanor offense and was released, police said.

  22. Tom Yewcic

    Thomas J. Yewcic (born May 9, 1932 in Conemaugh, Pennsylvania) is a former American football quarterback and punter and Major League Baseball player. He attended Michigan State University, where as a baseball player he was named the Most Outstanding Player of the 1954 College World Series despite his team not reaching the championship game. After signing with the Detroit Tigers, he went on to play one game as a catcher with the team on June 27, 1957.

    Everett "Sonny" Grandelius (born April 16, 1929 in Muskegon Heights, Michigan) was the head football coach of the Colorado Buffaloes from 1959 to 1961. He posted a 20-11 (.645) record as head coach. He was a halfback for Michigan State from 1948 to 1950.

    Rollie Dotsch (died March 16, 1988) was a football coach who served primarily in an assistant capacity before becoming the first coach of the United States Football League's Birmingham Stallions on September 2, 1982. Dotsch played college football at Michigan State University, helping the 1952 Spartans win the national championship, then started during his senior year on Michigan State's squad that captured both the Big Ten and Rose Bowl championships.

    Lorenzo Maurice White (born April 12, 1966 in Hollywood, Florida), is a former professional American football player who was selected by the Houston Oilers in the 1st round (22nd overall) of the 1988 NFL Draft. A 5 ft 11 in running back from Michigan State University, White played in 8 NFL seasons from 1988 to 1995. His best year as a pro came during the 1992 season with the Oilers, rushing for 1,226 yards and 7 touchdowns.

    Brad Alan Van Pelt (born April 5, 1951 in Owosso, Michigan) is a former American football linebacker who played fourteen seasons the National Football League. He played for the New York Giants from 1973 to 1983, the Los Angeles Raiders from 1984 to 1985, and the Cleveland Browns in 1986. He was selected to the Pro Bowl five times from 1976 to 1980. He is the father of former Denver Broncos and current Houston Texans quarterback Bradlee Van Pelt.
