- Sean O'Keefe
Sean O'Keefe (born January 27, 1956) was the tenth Administrator of NASA, leading the space agency from December 2001 to February 2005. His tenure was marked by a mix of triumph and tragedy, ranging from the tremendous success of the Mars rovers to the disintegration of the Space Shuttle Columbia. O'Keefe is currently the chancellor of Louisiana State University, a job he took after resigning from his NASA position.

- Richard H. Truly
Richard Harrison Truly (born November 12, 1937) is a retired Vice Admiral in the United States Navy, former astronaut, and was the eighth Administrator of NASA from 1989 to 1992. He was the first former astronaut to head the space agency. Born in Fayette, Mississippi, Truly attended schools in Fayette and Meridian, Mississippi, receiving a bachelor of aeronautical engineering degree from Georgia Institute of Technology in 1959.

Thomas Keith Glennan (September 8, 1905 - April 11, 1995) was the first Administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, serving from August 19, 1958 to January 20, 1961.
- Thomas O. Paine
Thomas Otten Paine, American scientist, was the third Administrator of NASA, serving from March 21, 1969 to September 15, 1970. Born in Berkeley, California, Paine attended public schools in various cities and graduated from Brown University in 1942 with an A.B. degree in engineering. In World War II, he served as a submarine officer in the Pacific and in the Japanese occupation.

James Chipman Fletcher (June 5, 1919 - December 22, 1991) served as the 4th and 7th Administrator of NASA, first from April 27, 1971, to May 1, 1977, and again from May 12, 1986, to April 8, 1989. - Art Stephenson

- James M. Beggs
James Montgomery Beggs (born January 9, 1926) served as the 6th Administrator of NASA. Nominated by President Reagan on June 1, 1981, Beggs took his oath of office and entered the post on July 10, 1981, serving until December 4, 1985. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Beggs was a 1947 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and served with the United States Navy until 1954. In 1955, he received a master's degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.

Robert Alan Frosch (born May 22, 1928), American scientist, was the fifth Administrator of NASA from 1977-1981 during the Carter administration. Born in New York City, Frosch was educated in the public school system in The Bronx. He earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in theoretical physics at Columbia University.

J. Wayne Littles was the eighth Director of the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center. He served as Director from February 3, 1996 to January, 1996.
- David A. King
David A. King is the tenth Director of the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center. He was appointed to the position in June 2003. King joined NASA in 1983 as a main propulsion system engineer. In 1983, he served as flow director, overseeing preflight preparation, test and checkout for the Space Shuttle Discovery.
- William R. Lucas
William R. Lucas (born March 1, 1922) was the fourth Director of the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center. He served as director from June 15, 1974 to July 3, 1986; when he was forced to resign as a result of the "Challenger" tragedy.
- James R. Thompson Jr.
James R. Thompson, Jr. was the fifth Director of the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center. He served as Director from September 29, 1986 to July 6, 1989.

Irene Duhart Long (1951, in Cleveland, Ohio, -) is an American physician and an official at the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration. She was the first female Chief Medical Officer at the Kennedy Space Center. In 1973, Long received her bachelor's degree in Biology from Northwestern University. In 1977, she received her medical degree from the Saint Louis University School of Medicine followed by residencies at the Cleveland Clinic, Mt.
- John Joseph Martin
John Joseph Martin (1922 -) was educated as a mechanical engineer, receiving a Ph. D. from Purdue University in 1951. He joined North American Aviation in 1951 and moved to the Bendix Corporation in 1953. In 1960 he joined the Institute for Defense Analyses. While on sabbatical at the Royal Aircraft Establishment in Farnborough, England, Martin wrote "Atmospheric Entry".

Thomas Jack Lee was the sixth Director of the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center. He served as Director from July 6, 1989 to January 6, 1994.
- William R. Graham
William Graham personifies the military-industrial complex with his close connections to the military, defense contractors, congressional threat-assessment commissions, and the Pentagon. Graham began his government career during Reagan's tenure, when he held various positions such as Arms Control and Disarmament Committee Chairman, NASA Administrator, and finally Reagan's Special Advisor on Science. She studied English and physics as an undergraduate and earned her Ph.D. in physics, all at Stanford University.

Frank E. Muller-Karger is a biological oceanographer (Professor) at the College of Marine Science, University of South Florida, where he directs the Institute for Marine Remote Sensing . He is of Hispanic descent via Puerto Rico , and while born in the U.S. he grew up in Venezuela . Muller-Karger conducts research on marine primary production using satellite remote sensing, large data sets, networking, and high-speed computing.

G. Michael Green is Acting Director for the Informal Education Division in NASA's Office of Education. Previously, he served as the Director for Strategic Communications in NASA's Aeronautics Mission Directorate. Green has also served as a senior planner in NASA's Office of Policy and Plans and as the Executive Director of the NASA Advisory Council, the agency's highest independent advisory body that reports to the NASA Administrator.
