Bill Callahan (born July 31, 1956, in Chicago, Illinois, is the head coach of the University of Nebraska football team. He was named head coach of the Cornhuskers in 2004. Callahan was formerly the head coach of the Oakland Raiders in the National Football League.

Adam Carriker, (born on May 6, 1984), is a defensive tackle for the St. Louis Rams of the National Football League. He was selected with the 13th overall pick in the 2007 NFL Draft. He played college football for Nebraska.
- Kenny Walker
Kenny Wayne Walker (born April 6, 1967) is a former defensive end for the Denver Broncos. He is one of only two deaf players in the history of the National Football League. (The other, Bonnie Sloan, played in the 1970s.) Walker starred at the University of Nebraska, playing in the Senior Bowl in January of 1991. Three months later, the Broncos selected him in the eighth round of the NFL Draft. He emerged as a regular for the Broncos in 1991, playing in all 16 games.

Michael Christopher Minter (born January 15, 1974 in Cleveland, Ohio) is a current safety for the NFL's Carolina Panthers. Minter attended Lawton High School in Lawton, Oklahoma where he started as running back and free safety. As a back, he led the state with 1,589 yards rushing and 21 touchdowns on 187 carries as a senior. Minter also averaged 21 points per game in basketball.
