He started his career in 1982 at Metro Weather Service where he worked as a syndicated meteorologist until 1987, when he joined News 12 Long Island. Later that year, he joined WCBS-TV for the first time as the weekend meteorologist and worked there for the next three years. From 1990 until 2002, he worked at WCAU-TV in Philadelphia, PA as the chief meteorologist.
