Dave Hakstol (born July 30, 1968) is the current head coach for the University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux hockey team. Hakstol was a player for the Fighting Sioux from 1989 to 1992.

Zach Parise (born July 28, 1984 in Minneapolis, Minnesota) is an ice hockey player with the New Jersey Devils. He is a natural center but currently plays left wing for the New Jersey Devils on the second line with teammates Travis Zajac and Jamie Langenbrunner, which is commonly referred as the ZZ Pop or PZL line by Devils fans. Some have stretched as far as calling him the future captain of the team and a franchise player.

Dean Blais is the former associate coach of the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets. He led the University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux hockey men's team to Frozen Four NCAA Division I championships in 1997 and 2000. Blais also led the 1990 Roseau Rams to a Minnesota State Hockey Championship. He has recently been named General Manager/Coach of a USHL franchise to be based in Fargo, North Dakota. Rick Wilson (b. 1950, Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada) is a retired professional hockey defenceman and head coach. He is currently an assistant coach with the Dallas Stars. Wilson was drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in the 1970 NHL Amateur Draft, Sixty-sixth Overall. He played for the AHL Nova Scotia Voyageurs, Montreal Canadiens, St. Louis Blues, Detroit Red Wings and AHL Philadelphia Firebirds.

Shantel Rivard was hired in 2002 as the first coach for the University of North Dakota's Fighting Sioux women's hockey team. Rivard's contract was not renewed beyond the 2006-2007 season, and she was replaced in December of 2006.
