1. Doris Day

    Doris Mary Ann von Kappelhoff (born April 3, 1924) is an American singer, actress, and animal welfare advocate known as Doris Day. A vivacious blonde with a wholesome image, Day was one of the most prolific actresses of the 1950s and 1960s. Able to sing, dance, and play comedy and dramatic roles, she has been an all-round star whose personality has permeated many popular and diverse movies.

  3. Michael Gordon

    Michael Gordon was an American stage actor and stage and film director. Born in Baltimore of Jewish heritage, he was a member of the Group Theatre (1935 - 1940), he was blacklisted as a Communist in the days of McCarthyism. He later joined the faculty of the UCLA Theatre Arts Department. Gordon was the maternal grandfather of actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Due to this, Gordon's Hollywood career neatly falls into two phases.

    Well, what about me? Hmmm...I'm a woman in transition. As are a lot of women my age I am finding out. I left a semi-decentish paying corporate job to take a sabatical abroad and ended up not returning. Well, not right away at least. I lived in Prague, Lisbon, Greece and Turkey and traveled much of the surrounding areas for 3 1/2 years. Alas, I did come back to Seattle "just temporarily." That was a year and a half ago.
