    Robert Manry (born June 2, 1918 - died February 21, 1971) was a 1949 graduate of Antioch College where he and fellow students where encouraged to be informed risk takers. It was a risk that Manry took as a 47-year-old copy editor on the Cleveland Plain Dealer who in 1965 sailed from Falmouth, Massachusetts to Falmouth, Cornwall, England in a tiny 13.5 foot (4 m) sailboat called Tinkerbelle. Beginning on June 1, 1965 and ending on August 17, the voyage lasted 78 days.

    Francis E. Gaul (1924-) is an American politician of the Democratic party who served for 20 years as county treasurer of Cuyahoga County, Ohio.     Joseph Filkowski ("John Blake") (d. 1931) was a Polish-American gangster in Cleveland, Ohio. A longtime figure in Cleveland's underworld, Joseph Filkowski led the Polish bootlegging gang, the Flats Mob. In October 1930, he and two other gang members held a police officer captive during the gangs hold up of the Dixie Shoe Company, relieving him of both his gun and uniform.

    Loren M. Berry was born in Wabash, Indiana, the son of Charles D. and Elizebeth (Murphy) Berry. He was a pioneer in the Yellow Pages business telephone directory industry.
